40th Anniversary with wheel spacers

I went with the Powertrix 25mm in the rear and 20mm in the front. Install was simple and the representative was very helpful in answering all my questions. Unlike most spacers, they are a direct fit over the original studs on both the front and rear.

NOTE: While installing the front spacers be sure to remove the 12mm safety pin (it's really a bolt) which is located on the rotor itself. I was told it is there so you cannot install the wrong wheel on the front of the car (since our rear wheels are wider). Also, I torqued the spacers to 90ft lbs and my wheels to 80ft lbs. I do not want anything falling off :p .

FYI this is NOT a DIY. I like to explain how I went about this task because I had a lot of questions and did the research for myself. I'm sure anyone who wants to do this has some questions, so maybe I answered them in this post  !

Here are some pics now.

Nice, but you need some better pics.

I went with 20mm all around but I think I could have gone 25mm in the rear and it would have looked a little better, although the tires will stick out.

Is there that noticeable of a difference with 20mm and 25mm in the rear. I may need to change my order.

Vegas it would be cool to see a rear shot of your car like Nism0's to compare. But from your pics I think the 20mm's look perfect to me.

I'll post a video soon and take more pictures. It's hard to get a good angle. I took pics up close like that so you could see how far the wheel sticks out. I'll take some pics like Vegas did.

Don't have rear pics but the tires are perfectly flush with the fender, which is probably best, although it might look more aggressive with the extra 5mm. It might also be a little too much, for me anyway. It's a subtle difference at most, and certainly not worth me changing them at this point.

Vega and Nismo are you guys running the stock suspension? I just got this combo in 20mm and 25mm, but was waiting for my swifts to come in and do it all at once because I thought the wheels might stick out too much on stock suspension. Yours look good very good.

Stock suspension.

Wow, you have the OEM fog lights, can we see more pics of that? How much did you pay for them?

MattP725 06-19-2012 06:24 PM

You guys need to drop them... it will look much better.

Don't have any more pics of the lights. The first owner had them installed. I am not a big fan of them, or the front mounted license plate, so I will be ordering a new front clip and replacing the old one. I think the lights are about $1K installed through the dealer. I will be selling them if anyone's interested.

I would if the car didn't already drag on my driveway.

Try the OEM Nismo spring/damper combo. Small drop (.5"), but better than regular Z, firmer suspension than regular Z, and can be found fairly inexpensively from Nismo owners looking to upgrade.
