275 Front/305 Rears + 20mm spacers Lowered on Tein's
 

Hi guys, when I bought my car, previous owner had recently installed a brand new set of Nitto's 555NT on the rear and Yokohama YK580 on the Front, both in stock sizes these are about 8/32 thread depth, 85% life still on them.

Just recently a friend of mine offered me a set of Michelin PS2 in 305/30/19 for pretty cheap, these are take offs front his Porsche and are in the same condition as my tires 80-85% thread, since the Yokohama fronts are garbage, thought about switching my rear tires to the front and getting my friends Michelin's on the rear.

I'm lowered on Tein's S-tech (1"drop), and running 20mm spacers around. I know that I wont have a problem fitting the rears, but wasn't so sure about the Fronts, is any of you running this setup? and do you have any Rubbing issues in the front?

I know most are going to say Not to mix tires, but for the price I'm getting the PS2's, there's no way I can say No, and obviously YK580's are all season tires, no comparison to the Nitto or PS2.

There's No one running this setup on the fronts?? or know if they'll fit with out modding?

The 275s may rub the little plastic nub inside the wheel well a bit when the springs compress, but normal driving should be fine. IMO, you shouldn't worry about that little divot being worn down. For some reason, people on here flip out if there's any kind of rubbing on the wheel well, no matter how insignificant it may be.

OR you can also just get a new matching tire setup for the fronts. 265-35-19 and call it good. Fronts usually wear out faster anyway unless you drift alot. lol

275 in the front will be fine. I'm running 275/35/19's in the front on 19 9.5 +22 no rubbing at all.

I don't drift and my rears wear out excessively faster than fronts ... I figured its a RWD car but why front you said?

not sure, but isnt that too much tire for the power your have?

i can see baer's car needing such glue, but his car is FI..

I tracked on 275f 305r 35/19's and it was way too much tire for a z with no power mods. I'm going change it out and run 275 square.

Mine is fully bolted and tuned, what do you mean when you saw say `Too much tire', is the car bogging? or not enough power on the track?

I`m running michelin PS2 305-30-19 right now, and i can really spin the tires on 1st and 2nd gear if I don't feather the gas pedal

In terms of power my car is stock on the track it feels a little sluggish and gives my car under steer. For my taste I'm willing to give up some grip in exchange for a better responding car.

too sticky actually slows the car down. i learned this many many years ago when playing with RC cars. the phenomenon applies to real cars too. :)
