Please help determine tread depth

Hey guys,

I did research this already and found some threads regarding this topic. My issue is, it is very difficult to tell the tread depth on this tire and have no idea where I am at.

I would like to sell the wheels soon and want to have an accurate description of the tires. Thank

Pictures attached.

You just need a tread depth gauge, you can pick them up at most auto stores, or at a discount tire. They're < $10.

Or you could just take them to a Discount tire or similar tire shop and have them checked. It takes only a few seconds and they won t say no.

Or you could just use a penny.

thanks guys. Don't trust a tire shop. How do I use the penny?

Here you go: Tire Tech Information - Measuring Tire Tread Depth with a Coin

Yeah the penny is the way to go

when you go to sale them just post a picture with a penny stuck into the tread to show the depth!

Except for the fact that our tire wear isn't usually uniform. I'd just take a picture of whichever part of the tire (inner, outer, center) has the least amount of tread.

i use the penny test every time! :-)

What's wrong with trusting a tire shop? :ugh2:

I just run my tires till I see wires, then I know its time to change. Havent found a better indicator yet.
