Alright guys I found some wheels I want. But the problem is I have no idea if they're going clear the sport calipers. Specs are 18x9.5 +40 , TSW Sochi. Anybody have any idea or tips. I've searched and can't find anything. Only found them on a g37S in 19x9.5 :/

Curious: I have same wheel specs (but +22) and same tire specs. My rears look ok but fronts are stretched more than yours. Can you enlighten me?

fins 04-04-2017 05:55 PM

Continuation from above post. See what I mean? What if I move the 275 up front? What 295/xx would I need for the rear? Tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A

295/35/18 for sure. There is a good selection in that size as well.

The amount of poke you'll get with a +12 offset front. Tears are+10 offset. Don't care about the plate. It's an old one. Haha

Anyone running Michelins PSS on a 285/35/18 front & 295/35/18 rear. I like to see how tall these tires look compared to other brands

Actually it's a 275/40 rear. I just remembered I was thinking of my other car. 245/45 front. Wheel is a 18x9.5 front

Worse case scenario you can always add a spacer so they can clear

littlejuanito 04-05-2017 11:22 PM

I'm thinking of going with these same sizes for my 18's but was wondering how 245/45/18 & 275/40/18 tires would look on my 18x9.5+22 front & 18x11+16 rear wheels?

Would it be ok to run a 275/40/18 tire on a 18x11 wheel or will it look too stretched?

I also like the fact that these tire sizes will stay true to OEM diameter at 26.7 each and since I'm already lowered more than enough on Coilovers with my current set up, I rather not go with a lower diameter tire.

Thanks.

Well bro, for the rear 18x11+16 wheels I don't recommend you anything less than 295... look what happen to me when I install a 285/35/18 tire in a 18x11 wheel.

the lip of the wheel was exposed.... With the 295/35/18 I fix the problem ;)

Hi guys,

new here, wanted some thoughts and advice for wheels. I'm looking to switch to a set of
18x8 +35
18x9 +30
aodhan ls002 found on ebay.

Was wondering if this would have any fitment issues and if not, what size tires should I get?

My current scenario is: daily driving, no spacers, stock height. Wanted to take the opportunity to change wheels since i'm also changing all 4 tires. (so i dont have to worry about changing tires again if i wanted to change wheels)

My contribution:

Front - 18 x 9.5 et 22 ; 275/40
Rear - 18 x 10.5 et 22; 20mm spacer; 295/35

Lowered on Tein S-Tech & SPC rear camber arms

I think front is too tall. Thinking about switching to 265/40. Not interested in rolling fenders.

free70 05-08-2017 08:31 AM

For people running 18x9.5" and 18x10.5" wheels, do you think 245/45 and 275/40 tires are too narrow for that setup? That seems to be a common setup used here but should I be worried of too much stretching or the wheel lip being exposed? Would that be okay or should I go 255/40 and 285/35 to be safe?

Thinking of using Michelin PSS or Continential ExtremeContact Sport for tires..

Hi dude! :hello: I will chose the 255/40/18 & 285/35/18 tire combination. I run that setup before and fit just perfect. And both of the brands that you mention are great! Im currently running the Continentals and I like it. I want to try it in the track to see how they perform.

Guys, I plan to buy a second set of 18's. Curious about the heights. I want to run 275/35 and 295/35, even thinking of 295/40/18.. what is the rule of thumb to not mess with the computers?
Anybody running these with no issues?
I've looked at calculators. People have ran 305/35/19 and the 295/40 would be the same height overall

275,295/35's should be fine,,,just under 2%.
un-sure the maximum without getting Christmas tree effect...as mine are just under 2% with no problem's.
I've heard 3% was max differential, but not confirmed.

Wheels: F 18x9.5+22 R 18x10.5+12 Gram Lights 57Xtremes in matte graphite
Tires: F 255/40/18 R 285/35/18 Michelin PSS
Suspension: stock for now

My thoughts so far: I am glad I went 255/40, 285/35s. I feel that 245/275 would be too much of a stretch on 9.5/10.5 wheels (not sure how other members seem to use that setup, as a lot of your wheel lip would be completely exposed ). Even now I feel I could go wider for my next set of tires (or use like 0.5" narrower wheels for anyone considering 245/275). Just IMO.

Beautiful wheels. :tiphat:

I have the same color and specs as you, but run the 19s and absolutely love the way they look.

It's not the difference for stock, it's the difference from front to rear I believe. Why not just run 265/40 295/35

Thanks! :tiphat: Love the way it looks with the stock suspension. I always thought that going with lower profile tires and 18's the gap with the fender would be worst but it looks great as is.
