Full Specs of the Rays Sport wheels
Hey guys, I come form Scionlife forum and know how much it sucks when ppl ask the same questions. I looked around but couldnt find full specs of the wheels.
Can somebody direct me to the thread or tell me what the specs are. I know that they are 19 X 9 that's it Im looking for the info on the front wheels: actual name of the model? bolt pattern? offset? weight? price? can they be bought from a dealership without VIN? Places where they can be cheaply bought? I want to paint em black like this: http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...cion202/HU.jpg and put em on my car http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...IMG_1250-1.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...IMG_1249-1.jpg here is my thread: Black 'n Blue Blade - Scionlife.com and here is my website: http://scionedge.com/ |
The fronts are 19"x9" +47. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3. I'm not sure how much they weigh though.
|
19x9 Front: Rim 23.2lbs With tire/stock 52.2lbs
19x10 Rear: Rim 23.9lbs with tire/stock 56.8lbs You can buy them from Nissan directly. Check with Eric @ Boulder Nissan Parts for a great deal on OEM Nissan parts - 303-447-2410 You don't need a VIN to purchase them. |

:eek2: omg thats a terrible offset! what's the offset on the rears? I really dont wanna use spacers :shakes head: |
i just found this in the classified section:
Wheel Brand: Rays Engineering (OEM) Wheel Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3 Wheel Size: 19x9 (front), 19x10 (rear) Wheel Offset: +47 (front), +30 (rear) Tire Brand: Bridgestone (RE050A) Tire Size: 245/40/19 (front), 275/35/19 (rear) Number of Wheels/Tires Available: 1 Set (4 Wheels and 4 Tires) |
The image of the rim you posted is actually not black in color. Those rims are actually the 40th Anniversary Edition rims and it has a dark platinum graphite color to it.
I'm actually selling a full set if you are interested. |
|
Just found out that these will fit my car!
Now time to save up some $$$ I will be back here soon! |
Please post pics if you do it

20-21lbs i think.
if you can reduce 3lbs per corner gross it will make a difference imo especially for braking. |
How much do the OEM 19" Rays costs?
|
Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com has them for like $670 or 700 or something each.
most used set if in prestine condition will go for 700-1000 depending on the seller usually without TPMS or tires. |
hey guys one more thing,
what's the center bore? scions' is 60.1 |
I believe it is 66.1
|
yep 66.1 for our cars. and remember that our stock wheels are hub centric in design which means it need to have contact to your centering lip on the car side.
|
so i have to have hubcentric rings? what if I dont? wouldnt lugs hold it in place?

While waiting for my new tires to be mounted i saw this:
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...02/playboy.jpg so now I have Max Performance Summer Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires on 235/40/19 on the 9" fronts 245/40/19 on the 10" rears Rears are stretched 0.5" Since I got it done at Costco, they inflated them with Nitrogen which is why the caps are green http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1452.jpg Rear 10" stretched http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1453.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1454.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1455.jpg Front 9" http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1456.jpg http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1457.jpg On left is Rear and on the right is Front: http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1458.jpg (rear looks meaner because of the lower offset) http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/...2/IMG_1459.jpg Tires arent new haha, 245s came with the purchase of the wheels and have 65-70% thread left 235s I bought on ebay for $130/pair - they look ____ty and have little cracks all over and have ~60% thread |
what lug nuts are you using? These wheels require the OEM Nissan Flat style nuts or equivalent. A normal acorn nut won't work
Its the one on the far right that these wheels are designed to use. If you use one of the others you risk the wheel falling off or the lugnuts breaking. We had a lot of locking lugnut failures here from the dealers putting the wrong ones on the cars early on. http://www.rocwheel.com/images/2008922145713717.jpg |

im using the ones that came with scion tC. they are the same as the pic on the right. there is a washer there between the lug nut and the wheel |
ok, cool! they look great on there, just wanted to make sure you were safe!

Is it me or the tires seem to have way too many cracks on them. It looks like a blowout waiting to happen

Those are mine.
|
Not objectionable.
Actually, I think I like them better on a tc... :ugh: I want to see these on an 86 now... |
i just see this thread now... and now, i think i kinda mess up on my set up,
I'm using the tapered type lugs, and these rays are flat lugs? oh snap, this whole time, i though the 370z rays are same as the g35 rays (since they use the tapered type lugs) so i need to change it huh? could that be the reason of vibration... hahahha btw, here is a pic of my car with the 370z rays https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...12523624_o.jpg |
