I still don't get why admin closed the thread. Customer had legitimate complaint. Now competing vendor posting for customer?

Makes forum look disorganized.

I agree... and the information is all somewhat skewed.

I'll also agree and say that when you deal with parts that cost a fair amount of money, you need to get with the program and step up your commitment to keeping people happy. I've seen it too often that people will buy based off price and they end up screwing themselves over.

In the end, when a buyer has an experience with a company like that, it makes them see the value in paying more for a particular service. I'm sure that guy would be willing to pay more to have the right stuff the first time.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Mike...

Nothing is worse than ordering a set of FS rims, waiting for news of their completion, and then reading this thread. Now what do i do?

Get a $1M insurance policy on them and try to replicate the results seen above

:rofl2:

cptspeed 11-17-2011 03:50 PM

Are there any members with the FS wheels that have had no issues?

NeverBoneStck 11-17-2011 04:10 PM

You are going to have issues with something .. Just dispute the charge and look in the other direction .. Better yet, ask Chris what the hell is going on with his wheels ..Let me know If I can help in some way ...

weiboy718 11-17-2011 04:10 PM

Thanks mike for opening this back up! Nobody deserves this. If Blaine would still kept on rolling on those wheels I cannot even imagine what would happen? It's a shame how theyre not manning up to this. Hopefully nobody else falls victim anymore.

cptspeed 11-17-2011 04:34 PM

Just contacted the vendor from which I ordered my rims. We will see what happens.

Im sure you'll get your $$$ back.

whoLEEoh 11-17-2011 04:45 PM

Mike. Strasse wheels should not be brought up on a thread where strasse is not mentioned. I don't want to put their business out there because your being a **** lol. You really need to relax on your sales tactics.

Alchemy 11-17-2011 04:56 PM

 to this whole mess. What a shame. You spend a bunch of $$$ and end up w a faulty product that nobody wants to stand beside and make things right. Unfortunatly these things happen. Good luck getting this issue resolved. Beware of Forged Specialties I suppose.

Fs has/is trying to resolve it. Just some people like to make mountains out of mole hills and try to use a situation to benefit themselves. Every wheel company has angry clients.

My apologies.. that was used as an example of a quality wheel. Similar to HRE, Iforged, Savini, DPE and COR... All very well respected wheel companies that make a quality product.

symple84 11-17-2011 06:58 PM

It cannot be a coincidence that many people have issues with FS....see my post on MYG37

Forged Specialties (BEWARE) - Page 15 - MyG37

Rui Z 11-17-2011 07:23 PM

Have you tried to Lemon Law it? I don't know if it's applicable in this situation, but ask your lawyer.

We gotta try it again this next summer . I will have new wheels and hopefully FI ..

litesky 11-18-2011 02:28 AM

NBS, I just want to first lay it out that I am not trying to take advantage of your misfortune. :(

Reading through all the pages about FS has opened my eyes about wheels in general. A lot of my friends are getting in to the car mod scene and we were lucky to have worked through a very very great guy (PM me if you want my recommendation) who got us excellent and beautiful wheels, but we had a few other low-reputation wheels in mind before our purchases. Won't mention what they are.

With that being said, I want to say thanks for your help in providing us with your lessons learned. In the end we all want what's best for our Z's (I mean, our cars. hehe) and we want the best looking rims on our car. I have no doubt that your G will look hot when all is done and I look forward to the photoshoots! =)

But... isn't that the whole point of discussing this "single" issue (which, apparently it is not)?

Whatever they are... make sure the company you get them from IS GOING TO STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL.

In the end, if you don't have the money to buy stuff that is quality and reliable, DON'T BUY ANYTHING.

I can understand buying a fake spoiler or replica body kit... it isn't something that is going to put your life at risk.

Buying low quality, inexpensive parts ESPECIALLY wheels, can kill you. Just like buying a fake seat or seat harnesses. I have run over some pretty hardcore stuff with my Weds and they are still perfect, things that would have bent VOLKs or Works. It makes me wonder if I had Forged Specialties wheels, what would have happened... they probably would have cracked and my car would have ended up off the road, or worse, going into other lanes of traffic.

To put the icing on the cake... these guys are in denial about it. Constantly passing the buck. That really sucks and I'm glad I never considered them.

at this point i would do a lot of thread merging / cleanup on the original thread. it's all a bit convoluted right now, but at least it was resolved. just...not positively.

W.O.W. 370Z 11-18-2011 12:39 PM

Um what has been resolved ???

phelan 11-18-2011 12:55 PM

you got new wheels :p don't get me wrong, this whole FS thing is ridiculous; i hope you like the strasse wheels

bullitt5897 11-18-2011 01:41 PM

To the readers of this thread. If your interested in wheels from a company please ask if their wheels have been tested...

whoLEEoh 11-18-2011 02:55 PM

so now that you got a customer by your crooked sales tactics which people complain about yet do themselves, can u close the thread?
