Tire pressure noob question

I put winter tires on.

The tire says don't go above 40 psi.
It also says Max 44 psi.
My car door says 35.

Which do I inflate to? Thanks!

35 PSI when cold.

I would wait until the car can compeltely cool down (like overnight) and check the pressure first thing in the morning.

Thanks. Can someone explain why it doesn't matter if I have low profile summer tires or fatter winter tires, it's always 35 psi?

yah, as long as the load rating is correct profile does not matter. 35psi is based on comfort. i usually run 37-38psi on my Z and G summer tires and 35-36 for winter tires (LM60).
