350 wheels on a 370?
 

ok so... want to start out by saying im looking for winter wheels. i found a seriously cheap set of 18's from a 350z to kick around for a few miserable months and really considering this. so in the name of saving a ton of money.... would they fit? it's my understanding that they are 18x8 30mm offset all around (correct me if im wrong there the 6 spoke design). my base 18's are basically same size in the front, just slightly larger offset so i don't think id have a problem with the fronts. but the rears being a inch difference in width and 15mm difference in offset ....would there be any issues? :confused: and ugh would i have issues with these not being stagger'd?

Which 6 spoke wheels are they? The track (forged) or the original touring?

the ones urdeliveryguy is referring to would be the touring from those specs.

I run 4 rear track wheels, but widened. However, they are widened to the inside and still fit, and the outside of the wheel is at the same place as an unwidened one would be.

They started off as 18x8.5 +33, and are now 9.5 +46

The touring wheels would tuck in 3mm compared to the track rears and have more rear clearance, so the short answer is, yes they fit just fine. The rears would be tucked in quite a bit and a 15-25mm spacer would be ideal visually with them, but not required.

lol yeh im talking bout the original touring ones. i was just alil concerned about the inside clearances of the wheel since there different from the track ones u guys were talking about. i might need a spacer in the rear. not concerned about looks otherwise id consider a more expensive set prolly off a g.

i thought they where staggered.. but i guess they had 2 different tires sizes on em. but for $100 it would be a deal for the set, and prolly cheaper on the tires since there less rubber. overall it could be promising.

Original touring werent staggered but the v2 were i think

well, either way they will fit. If you go with spacers, get the 25mm bolt on kind. 15 or 20 and your original lugs will stick out past the spacer and interfere.

You get those wheels? I picked up some touring V2 wheels for the snow but haven't put them on yet..

yeh i picked some up with tires already on... cheap too. i haven't put them on yet either. im wondering what kinda spacers i should pick up. the v2's look a whole lot better than these lol.

You might as well mount them first and see how it looks and decide on spacers after.

but then again, they are winter tires and I imagine there will be a lot of slush and mud and stuff. Maybe leaving them tucked will protect your rear bumper somewhat over the winter?

Not bad at all, I wouldn't even bother with spacers since they're winter wheels anyway.

yeh i agree. but it looked a lil silly in person. ill prolly pick up somehting less than a 25 to bring it out alil bit but not make it flush.

i heard the base 18's clear them.. im not sure bout these but i don't see why they wouldn't.

it maybe a problem with the front brake caliper of the sport package, i don't know...

well it's been a VERY mild winter so far, high 40s mid 50s. last night we had small flurries so wtf i decided to throw the wheels on.. it's almost end of Dec anyways. since last posted i cleaned them up and sprayed them white with rustoleum auto spray $20 at the home depot.. cheaper than the autozone across the street for the same spray. so heres pics of the final.

Looks pretty good dude. I just put my V2 touring wheels on. No issues with clearing the sport brakes. Pretty good option for a cheap winter setup, lots of dinged up touring wheels on craigslist etc. As you can see the rear could use a spacer but I'm not too worried about it. My wheels are all scratched up anyway. May decide to paint or powdercoat them after this winter, haven't decided..

FYI anyone thinking about doing this you'll need to get some different lugnuts. These are the ones I got:
