i use a z1 spacer for my winter wheels. there good i like em. is noone lowering a z with the base 18's? everyone seems like they have the 19" rays.

im gonna have to lower it first then measure i guess.

Would it be fine if I only place a 15mm spacers on the rear wheel and leave the fronts stock. Would there be a problem with the balance/stability of the car?

20mm all around. Car looks sooooo much better.

I have an opportunity to get some free spacers without studs, and I did not want open ended lug nuts with factory rims....

So for anyone looking for stud sizes, the factory ones are 42mm. I would assume you would add the spacer size to the factory size to get the length of stud you need. This took me about 30 mins of searching, so hopefully this helps someone out haha.

I just saw a Rays cataloue, they also make spacers,i wonder anybody saw it before.?

Before I pull the plug on spacers, I would just like to be sure that the setup I plan on going with will not have any rubbing issues.

I plan on going 20mm all around on OEM sport rims. I've already decided to go with H&R spacers, but I'm undecided on whether or not to go DRS all around. I know they're required on the front, but should I use them on the rears too, or just go with DRMs? I will be installing Swift Spec-Rs at that time, as well. Thanks in advance for any feedback on this!

I took some measurements on stock 19" sports and 25 in the back looks like it make things really close. A good hard bump may cause rubbing?
Also from what I've read on here you can use 20mm DRM on the front.
Anything less than that requires DRS.

NBZ34 06-25-2012 11:21 PM

I decided to go 20mm DRS all around. I just feel more at ease with stud replacement.

Thread Necro, but i saw 1 person running a 5mm up front with no extended Llugs. I'm thinking of doing this as well. Can anyone who has done this elaborate whether or not they think this is a good/safe idea? It makes me a little nervous about how much thread will be left

Thread Necro
Alright I have read this thread several times, and other than a couple vague mentions, I haven't seen anything definitive on the OEM 18in wheels. What are the sizes needed for those? Wish I had rays...

Initial Z 09-18-2012 12:06 AM

Did anyone use Loctite on their spacer nuts? Ive had mine on for around 6 months and did not use Loctite on mine. The front are stud replacements and the rear are not.

Everything seems fine but Ive been reading elsewhere that you should.

Vichtz 09-18-2012 12:46 PM

For the NISMO wheels. Still nothin for OEM 18's though...

buuuut 20mm on factory tires with a bit of camber and drop is pretty damn close to flush.

and only use the DRS series.
