tire size

I have a question about the tire size.
Some people go with the wider tire setup with the stock rims,
for example the stock size is 245(f)/275(r) and I've seen some people installed 265/295 on their stock wheels.
Doesn't it mean that 20mm of the tire will stick in toward the middle of the car?
Isn't that going to be relatively unstable or risky compared to 245/275 stock setup?

The reason I am asking this is I am getting te37sl next week and need to order the right size tire for the rims.
I've seen so many different setups such as 275/305, 255/295, 245/285 etc.
What is the stock-like setup and the most popular setup for 19x9.5+22/19x10.5+12?

Wish you guys are having a wonderful friday night :)

265/35 and 305/30 is what I would run. It varies depending on the brand/model tires you get, some tires might not offer a specific size, that's why people's opinions varied.
