nice tires?

nogoodname 05-06-2009 11:37 AM

looks sharp, if you painted the headlight housings black, that would be a nice touch

how wide is the rear lip?? it looks good, not too much and not too small.

Solus 05-06-2009 11:53 AM

Its like 3" lip. As far as the headlights goes I am actually trying to find somewhere that can put a blackout kit on them.. like the tint stuff. Its just a real pain to do is all

kevr6 05-06-2009 01:52 PM

Not my taste, but happy for you!! Good luck with them!

nogoodname 05-06-2009 02:05 PM

a window tinting place should be able to do it with some vinyl

batman_4 05-06-2009 02:18 PM

:wtf:

IMO that looks horrible!! the Z is meant for some aggressive offsets not just bigger rims without taking offsets into consideration, what are the specs on those....20X8????

nogoodname 05-06-2009 02:37 PM

it's hard to read, looks like P235/30/R20 tires

2bits 05-06-2009 02:47 PM

I like those wheels more then just about every other wheel I've seen on this forum (except stock sport, which is just fine with me). The offset in the rear looks incorrect though. The wheel appears sunken, and the crazy wide lip adds to the effect.

nogoodname 05-06-2009 02:52 PM

some spacers would help it

Diversion 05-06-2009 04:38 PM

I see 285s in the rear..

nogoodname 05-06-2009 04:40 PM

that's what i thought, but i wasnt sure

Solus 05-06-2009 04:57 PM

the front are 20x9.5 with 245/35R20 and the back are 20x10.5 with 285/30R20, and they really aren't sunken very much... I had them MADE with the same offset as the stock rims...which was what something like +33 in the back? I don't remember I ordered them 3 weeks ago and had them make them to the same offset as stock. Maybe a bad idea? Hell I don't know but I think they look good.

RCZ 05-06-2009 05:07 PM

:(

Whats important is that YOU like them in the end...

Solus 05-06-2009 05:28 PM

I am on that train lol.. I just think that black lip is making them look more sunk in than they really are.. I will try to take some better pics later, I am worried about bringing them out farther for fear of slinging road debris on to the car itself and dinging it up :(

cg370z 05-06-2009 05:41 PM

Nice wheels, i really like the look of the fronts, the rears look awkward with that huge sunken in lip... just my opinion.

Solus 05-06-2009 06:36 PM

Thanks :D

nogoodname 05-06-2009 06:42 PM

just get some spacers and it will look sharp, like half inch or something

Those tire sizes, while obviously compatible, seem to be at very edge of being too narrow for the rim width. Do they fit well?

nogoodname 05-06-2009 06:49 PM

the stock rims are sunken in also. so, pretty same thing

whatever, the rims look sharp....... so, gonna buy Bat's head light overlays??

westpak 05-06-2009 08:31 PM

personally I would have gone with a 15 offset to bring them out a bit more in the rear, and also go with 295's to avoid the stretched tire look

As for the style it is not my favorite for a sports car, too many spokes.

+1 the wheel itself looks cool but the stance is weak, and also a +1 on maybe a spacer making the stance look better.

Not my liking but good for you to get something you like.

Solus 05-06-2009 11:33 PM

I am going to get the spacers tomorrow lol. I talked to a guy and he said I shouldn't have to worry about throwing any rocks or anything and hitting my bumper and what not. As far as the tires go, I was thinking about going a little wider once I wear these out (which shouldn't take too long lol).

As far as the headlight overlay's goes.. I remembered hearing about them but couldn't remember who had them or the cost? I want to either get overlays or get mine painted..

AK370Z 05-07-2009 12:26 AM

I like them. Did you lower your car or running stock height? Take a rolling/driving video of your 370Z. I think your rims will look really good in motion.

Solus 05-07-2009 06:13 AM

Still stock height (for now anyways) I will try to get a rolling video of it whenever the rain lets up.

westpak 05-07-2009 07:28 AM

here is a rolling shot a friend of mine took with same style but polished lip

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...EN/007ign1.jpg

And this to show they are the same style

RCZ 05-07-2009 11:16 AM

Wow...that puts a new spin on things..

DannyGT 05-07-2009 11:36 AM

You think? Thats what correct offset + lowered suspension does for those wheels!

Much better on your friends car.
