Track tires for early 370z?

Working toward prepping my car for its first track day (with me, anyway).

This car came with Fuchs wheels which I believe measure 16x8". From some reference charts, it looks like I can run a 245-45-16 tire.

Looking at the Nitto RA-1 and the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric Tires if I can find them.

Any suggestions which is the better tire? Or are there other, better choices?

Thank you.

Um, I'm pretty sure they aren't 16" wheels. Check the tire sidewall to see what the rim diameter is.

The RA-1 is a good intermediate tire, just wouldn't recommend it for frequent street driving or wet track use (damp ok). The F1 will do better in the wet and isn't as sticky as the RA-1 but will be good for street driving as well.
