Breaking the Mold: HELLAFLUSH on WORK HS202 by SpeedElement Performance

So one of our very special local customers (Calvin), who is also a sponsored by us, wanted a more extreme wheel setup for his upcoming Work Wheel sponsorship. In other words, he wanted to be "HELLA FLUSH". While we are a very performance oriented shop, I have a strong background in wheel fitment, so we didn't shy away from his request. It may not be for everyone, but it looks wild.

Secret offsets, 245/35 on 20x10.5 fronts, 275/30 on 20x11.5 rears. Minimal fender modifications.

Damn...I wanna see this in person. How does he drive it though? Haha, very carefully, obviously. Clean.

shadoquad 07-21-2011 01:35 PM

:barf:

cheshirecat 07-21-2011 01:38 PM

It's not for everyone, but damn, that fitment is spot-on if that's the look you're going for.

kenchan 07-21-2011 02:27 PM

you have air bubbles in the side skirts...

:yum:

Like I said, the look isn't for everyone. He has full steering range from lock to lock.

Vinyl job was a one-time thing and will be coming off, with a possible repaint before the next shoot.

shadoquad 07-21-2011 03:02 PM

Exactly. This look is not for people who appreciate performance. It is strictly show before go.

It's his money, it's his ride. If he likes it, then good on him.

neat wheels though

corner3garage 07-21-2011 03:08 PM

This thing looks so sick!!!

nuTinmuch 07-21-2011 03:16 PM

So, how is this "breaking the mold"?

It's more like conforming to a popular trend.

Good point. Hella Flush isn't exactly new or different these days.

Flushnismo 07-21-2011 03:19 PM

I like it. It's unique..

Red__Zed 07-21-2011 03:20 PM

Very aggressive fitments.

Cmike2780 07-21-2011 03:30 PM

Looks sick with the Hella Flush set-up & vinyl ...... literally.

I really like everything else though.

daisuke149 07-21-2011 07:15 PM

ya know you coulda done a 20x12.5 in the rear with much fatter tires with a better picked offset

While i like the rims : / im not a fan of stretched tires at all. but like you said thats me. I know some people like it.

SPOHN 07-21-2011 07:45 PM

To low and stretched tires equals no. But love everything else.

I always try to look at any Z with love. I can't wait to get my wing and see the comments then.

jerk. gimme that wing.

Zerafian 07-21-2011 08:59 PM

time to go back to white, that wrap is falling apart it seems....stance is perfect. Great job on that.

Raise the front and rear .5", slap 255/35 front and 285/35 rear and it would be perfect for daily driving.

FairladyZ10PG 07-21-2011 10:43 PM

I like his current setup. But at the same time I think I liked his setup a lot better when the car was white and with RE30s.

Amuse kit + hella flush = doesn't work for me.

But what does that matter. It's his car so he should do what pleases him.

ChrisSlicks 07-21-2011 10:54 PM

The wheels are nice but don't really care for this extreme kind of fitment.

As for the camber, doesn't look that extreme. I probably run about the same camber but with "normal" offsets :) Car turns like a beast but tracks every little crevice in the road. But I have suspension travel, something this car doesn't appear to have :)

docaam 07-22-2011 06:26 AM

nice wheels, but one of the worst vinyl job I have seen its coming apart from everywhere

MUST 07-22-2011 07:32 AM

me likes, but then again, i got a similar setup...just not as low :(

hey victor, is his suspension setup a secret too?

Unfortunately going with a 12.5 rear wasn't an option as these wheels come in a max rear size of 11.5, and going with other wheels wasn't an option either due to his Work Wheels sponsorship specific to the HS202.

He's running Stance true-type coilovers (rears are true coilover as opposed to separate shock/spring), with SPC front/rear camber arms.

vividracing 07-22-2011 12:45 PM

That thing is gorgeous. Yeah, the wrap is "meh", but the fitment is spot on. But the car's not hellaflush in my opinion. Stanced, yes. Hellaflush, no. Unless it's actually Hellaflush APPROVED, it's not hellaflush imo.

08-27-2011 12:43 AM

Very interested

i want the same wheel and similar fitment planing on ordering around feb-march time line was wondering if we can get some thing rolling on the process of getting these wheels.

EGAR 08-27-2011 02:43 AM

Looking good

Looking good. Love the body kit and wheels. But do you dive her every day being that low? I'd already killed the front fascia within 2 weeks.

+1

camber isn't a bad thing!

sleeazy370z 08-28-2011 10:17 PM

Looking good! fitment on point.. Whats the offsets?

urvokbm 08-29-2011 08:43 AM

finllaly a properly fitted z34

absolutely spectacular job, better fitment than this could only be seen in japan!
if this style is not for you, don't waste your time commenting. curious what "minimal" fender mods had to be done? obviously a roll and some fender liner cutting. any chance you'll release those secret offsets? :tiphat:

dirTy_shoeZ 08-31-2011 01:57 PM

that front bumper tab ALWAYS gets caught up on the tires. this is fuckin sexy bro. hats off to you

HotBlackDez 09-06-2011 10:30 PM

To each his own i guess
