TPMS Reset for 370Z
Searched the forum but cannot find any pics or the location of the TPMS connector on 370Z.
Tire pressures are correct and i know the sensors are good but reconnecting battery after installing some PLX gauges the TPMS light flashes then stays on but after awhile goes off. This happens every once in awhile but not all the time. From the G37 forum know the procedure for resetting the TPMS but can't find the connector on my Nismo. Can any of you Z owners who have done the reset tell me or send a pic where the connector is? Thanks. |
Did you check the Owner's Manual? However I don't think it will tell you anything but to get the correct tire pressure.
Also maybe some of those connections from the gauges might be creating the TPMS light to go off. |
The 370Z doesn't have a button/switch anywhere to be reset that I know of.
I'm having the same problem right now, just got 4 new tires put on with new sensors and my light blinks then goes solid. The guy at Discount Tire said that blinking is a Sensor problem, Solid is a computer problem. So I'll have to take it to a Dealership sometime next week and see what they can do. |
Have seen on the G37 forum that there is a connection that will allow you to short out the TPMS controller and then you can get the controller to relearn the TPMS sensors. Just cannot find where that connector is. Not in the same place on the 370Z as it is on the G37 cars.

http://www.the370z.com/members/kirks...35437-tpms.jpg The antenna appears to the be glued to white foam behind the carpet that makes up the passenger footrest. If you pulled on that white foam you may have disconnected or broken the antenna wire. I am going to take that section of the car apart when it gets a bit cooler here and see if it is just disconnected or if I broke the antenna wire. K |
Kirkster,
Thanks for the info. Did not put my PLX sender there. Mounted mine under the dash near the steering column. But i will check out the area you mentioned just in case. |
There is another piece of the TPMS system on the drivers side but I did not copy it out of the manual so you may want to look at the manual for that side of the TPSM system.

i think that's why i am having my tires shipped from tire rack to my dealership
so they can install them. that way any problems car is already there.. nothing wrong with discount tire just saying.. at least in my area i don't know if i would trust em. i know i wouldn't with my 19in rays |

This has nothing to do with the sensors in the tire and everything to do with mucking around where the TPMS receiver hardware is mounted in the car... |
I did read it you got me guilty. Sorry to the original OP.
Nice job of catching it also. |

After removing wheels and fitting spacers do you have to get the TPMS reset?
