Guys with Sport Wheels, Post up the tire sizes you have switched to.

What up guys. I did a search and could not find any thread like this. I wanted to see what size tires front and rear you guys have put on your stock sport wheels. Also if your running spacers let me know, I'm planning on going 15 front 20 rear. Thanks guys.

you know it has been posted before a few times, but muddled up in other threads. Someone should really compile this info for base, sport and nismo wheels and then get it sticky'd. I cant help you out myself as I never changed the size or added spacers to mine.

Yea thats what I was hoping to with this thread. I looked at about 15 20 pages in this section and could only find a few things.

Any problems with this setup? I really want to run 305's in the rear but I have heard its kind of a stretch and pinches the tire. I think I might go with a 265 front 295 rear.

daisuke149 07-01-2011 10:47 AM

i think quite a few are running a 305 on the stock sport.

but dont worry aout spacers yet. get the tires first then see how much you wanna go on spacers.

Stock front and 305/30 Hankook Ventus in the rear.

20/25mm spacers. Swift springs. No problems.

The tire in the rear bulges at the sidewall a bit more than I would like- I'm considering running 295/35's next time.

255/35 & 295/30 Hankook Ventus

No spacers.

I was originally concerned about these tires simply because they are half the cost of Pilots or Pontenzas. But after putting 5k on em I have full confidence that they will hold the road when I expect them to.

I've had a few...

stock size tires with 32mm spacers R, 26mm spacers F

285/35/19 V12 R (stock front) with 20mm R, 15mm F

I don't like the V12s when compared with the OE Bridgestone. I can definitely feel the weaker sidewall.

I did notice the same thing when I first got the tires. But that was only when they were brand new. After about 500 miles I started to notice better response time from the tires. Mind you I took the same approach to these tires as I do with my bike on the track and I made sure to push these whenever I could around corners. Probably total bull shart but it seems to flex the tires to the point in which they are used to flexing a certain way and they just move easier. Like a new pair of shoes that are stiff but seem to have more flex in them as time goes on (god that's a horrible analogy but the only one I could think of). Not to mention I can drive in the rain without fishtailing now.

265/285 RE-11's, no spacers. Great tires and I think they fit the sport rims better than stock.
