Nissan 370Z Forum

Guys with Sport Wheels, Post up the tire sizes you have switched to.

RE-11 285/35/19 rears. I plan to get a set of stock sized RE-11 fronts when the time comes.

First set got 8000 miles on it and they have about 3/32nd on it. Seond set has 6000 miles and about 4 to 5/32nds on them. The 285 in front is better on the wear in the front as I am not plowing as much.

This is what you need in the front. Wide rear skinny front is like a Chihuahua, all bark, no go.

I will be getting tires soon and plan on going with Conti DW in stock sizes. It looks like many of you go one size bigger than stock...any particular reason for this? Is the 245/275 combo really that bad?

The stock sizes are not bad, but they are stretched. Going wider gets more traction and eliminates the stretched look of the tire.

How many miles on the RE-11's so far? I'm looking at about $1300 for a set and would like to know that I'm gonna get some miles out of them.

Heyy dude i'm sorry for the late response, as of the RE-11 they are holding great! i'm currently doing 3000+ miles with them and there's still quite thick treads left here's the picture :

Exact tire and size that I have. More than half life left in them with 6000 miles on them.

So you guys are running 305's on the rear sport package rims with no issues? Would this be suitable for track? Thanks

from what i've read, even 295 feels squishy. can't imagine how 305 feels.. i'd just stick to 285 for sport package's.

What do you mean by "squishy"? you mean when I'm taking corners hard on the track, the rear doesn't feel as stiff as a result of the 305?
