I went with the board favourite, Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's in 265/35 front and 285/35 rear.
I'm lowered on Swift springs and running H&R spacers, 20mm rear and 15mm front.

255's were out of stock so I just placed an order for 265's

red6spd 12-13-2011 07:06 AM

So guys with RE-11's. How are the tires holding up? I understand that thread life is much shorter with tires like these but I'm also not a fan of spending $1300 every year and a half to two years.

Footloose301 12-13-2011 11:30 AM

Mine still look like new with 5k on them....

tranceformer 12-13-2011 01:26 PM

RE-11 285/35/19 rears. I plan to get a set of stock sized RE-11 fronts when the time comes.

cossie1600 12-13-2011 08:37 PM

First set got 8000 miles on it and they have about 3/32nd on it. Seond set has 6000 miles and about 4 to 5/32nds on them. The 285 in front is better on the wear in the front as I am not plowing as much.

This is what you need in the front. Wide rear skinny front is like a Chihuahua, all bark, no go.

joshs09slvrZ 12-14-2011 11:45 AM

I will be getting tires soon and plan on going with Conti DW in stock sizes. It looks like many of you go one size bigger than stock...any particular reason for this? Is the 245/275 combo really that bad?

TongMan 12-14-2011 12:17 PM

The stock sizes are not bad, but they are stretched. Going wider gets more traction and eliminates the stretched look of the tire.

How many miles on the RE-11's so far? I'm looking at about $1300 for a set and would like to know that I'm gonna get some miles out of them.

370z1 12-17-2011 03:10 AM

sport pkg wheels, HandKook Tires, model, VENTUS V12, Fronts 255/35/19, Rears 305/30/19, lowered with Tein Springs, there is no rubbing or any issues with or without the 20mm spacers on all 4.

Heyy dude i'm sorry for the late response, as of the RE-11 they are holding great! i'm currently doing 3000+ miles with them and there's still quite thick treads left  here's the picture :

Exact tire and size that I have. More than half life left in them with 6000 miles on them.

So you guys are running 305's on the rear sport package rims with no issues? Would this be suitable for track? Thanks

from what i've read, even 295 feels squishy. can't imagine how 305 feels.. i'd just stick to 285 for sport package's.

axio 12-19-2011 06:35 PM

What do you mean by "squishy"? you mean when I'm taking corners hard on the track, the rear doesn't feel as stiff as a result of the 305?

simply put, yes. and it feels 'floating'

Greed 12-19-2011 08:38 PM

Subscribed. Great info, guys.

That sucks. I'm boosted and wanted to go wider in the rear for more traction while keeping the stock sport package rims... So 285 RE-11s are better even when boosted huh?

Nizmolife 03-03-2012 07:28 PM

Hi guys, I ran 305 wide Pilot Sport PS2 on stock 10.5" wide rim with no issues. It did help with my traction issue a bit. However, I didn't like that aspect ratio is only available in a 30 instead of 35. Time for new tires. I am debating on going with a 315 or sticking to the 305. Anyone try a 315 wide on a nismo 10.5"rim? Also aspect ratio drops to 25 on a 315.
