Forgestar F14

What is up with Forgestar. I was promised a 4-6 week wait period for my rims. It has now been 4months and counting. There customer service is ****. Im at the point now where i dont give a **** about the rims i just want my money back and i cant even get throught to get a refund. This is rediculous. Warning to anybody who orders through Forgestar. DONT DO IT

ZOLE 06-17-2011 04:23 PM

Duly noted. I was actually looking at maybe purchasing a set of these, but now I'm starting to look elsewhere. Sorry about the wheels man, I know how frustrating that must be. Wonder if this might be a case for the BBB.

TongMan 06-17-2011 05:49 PM

paying up front and waiting for the promised product is just bad. I like the Forgestar F14 rims. There are some posted in the classifieds if you don't want to wait.

Gunzero 06-17-2011 05:52 PM

not the first time this has happened. varrstoen ftw ;D

ncheung85 06-17-2011 08:34 PM

It took me about 5 months to get mine.

speedworks 06-18-2011 08:36 PM

4 months does sound a little wierd, as I got mine (recently) in 6-7 weeks. What did you order?

ninous26 06-18-2011 11:48 PM

My friend ordered those right when they first came out through intense power.. These were for his IS lexus.. Took about 4-5 months (NOT INTENSE'S FAULT!)

I ordered F-14's 19x9 19x11 in piano black. who did you order your rims through?

Brazilbro 06-19-2011 12:10 PM

I'd take them off your hands if they were 18x10 18x11.. I'm sure they will show up soon.. Where else are you going to get light as$ rims in 19's for under 1500

speedworks 06-19-2011 01:53 PM

I got mine through getyourwheels.com with Eric. I'm surprised it is taking that long for the F14s in that color. I got mine, with a new size (9.5) and a new color (bronze) and it only took the 6-7 weeks. You ordered a common color and size, very odd.

imwazn 08-11-2011 05:59 PM

my friends took about four months for his bimmer.

Iforged, forgestar, same company, same service.

But you cant beat the Price, if you can be patient.
My f14s took the six weeks they told me, but I learned with my last set of forged to buy through a high volume dealer of theirs if you want them quick

I bought wheels from a different company and waited 9 months,4-5 months is a walk in the park.:ugh2:

ChrisSlicks 08-11-2011 07:58 PM

I bought a set of F14's when they were first released back in 2009, took 7 months for delivery and was a PITA. The wheels are nice for the money but not worth the hassle. This time around I ordered Enkei's because I needed them promptly, they shipped out the next day.

GetYourWheels 08-11-2011 11:24 PM

Right now the wait time is around 8-10 weeks for forgestar wheels. They are implementing new measures to cut that back to down to 4-6 weeks.

How much do the 19s weigh?

bullitt5897 08-12-2011 06:56 AM

Man I hate seeing threads like this but then again it just helps us with the brands we carry. I am a firm believer in empowering our customers. On our custom wheels we don't charge you the full amount up front... But rather a deposit so that we can get started on your wheels. Once we finish we ask for the balance to be paid and we ship the wheels. This allows the customer a little more financial freedom an let's our customers know we are not here to take their money but to give them an unsurpassed buying experience! I wish companies like forgestar would embrace these philosophical ideals. It's about the relationship with the customer not about their money!

Red__Zed 08-12-2011 07:27 AM

^forgestar does the same thing. Only partial payment before they arrive. Iforged did that as well.

bullitt5897 08-12-2011 07:43 AM

There is still no excuse for the bad customer service. Which is my point... What we do is nothing new but it is a system that works and gives our customers confidence in their purchases. All of our customers are estatic about there orders through out their wait. It's about keeping our customers informed and up to date on their wheels progress. Lol it's like dominos pizza's order status... We let you know when your wheels are being cut, when they come out, when they go into paint, when they are getting assembled and etc... We also send our customers pictures of their wheels through out the whole process. On avg I will send a customer 30+ pictures of their wheels through out the process. Now that is cool!!!

Red__Zed 08-12-2011 08:10 AM

Iforged did the same for me.

People are generally less patient waiting for less expensive wheels. The people buying forgestars are used to buying from guys like enkei....where you can get stuff shipped same day.

Depends on backpad height. Anywhere from 22-27lbs

hjo1078 08-20-2011 02:12 PM

i was able to cancel my order thru getyourwheels.com and went with the te37 sl..
i was at around 11 weeks before i couldnt take it anymore

GetYourWheels 08-22-2011 10:33 AM

Hjo, you were a special case due to the Karbon, which seems to be giving us more troubles than we were told by forgestar. I am glad we were able to accommodate your needs and get you into another set.
