17x9.5 or 10 Enkei RPF-1 Fit on Rear of Akebonos?

Enkei RPF1 Wheel 17x9.5 5x114.3

17x9.5 +18 offset only 16.8 lbs!!! Would be used for a Drag Radial... Would this fit ???

djpathfinder 05-15-2011 10:39 PM

I thought I read in some other threads that Akebonos require 18" rims minimum...

Red__Zed 05-15-2011 10:41 PM

not sure. Rear akebonos are pretty big. I don't have any fitment templates for them.

chuckd05 05-15-2011 10:50 PM

The fronts def require 18s but fronts are much bigger. Looking at my wheels now thinking they'll fit. I'm gonna try to find a shop that has a 17 inch wheel in stock

17s fit front and rear over brembos if that helps any. Now the offset plays in wether it touches the spokes, spacers easily fits that.

chuckd05 05-15-2011 11:03 PM

Yea these are 17x9.5 or 17x10 + 18 and I have a 10mm and 2.5mm spacer on hand.

chuckd05 05-15-2011 11:25 PM

I think I'm goin to order 17x10 +18 And see for myself.

Kingbaby 05-15-2011 11:26 PM

cool...

I'm looking for enkeis myself....just looking for reviews on them to replace my stockers.

Like how they do with street driving?

Like how well they can take a pothole here and there?

With a spacer you should be ok.

chuckd05 05-16-2011 12:53 AM

At 17x10+18 the offset should be aggressive enough without. No?

Waiz 05-16-2011 12:55 AM

Worst case slap it on to clear it, the wheels are very brake friendly.

Yes, plenty aggressive. I'd be more worried about internal diameter of the wheel.

chuckd05 05-16-2011 09:45 AM

Yea I def am. Guess well find out soon enough.

For the front, I don't think the calipers hitting the spokes will be a problem. I think the problem is the caliper hitting the inside of the wheel barrel. At least this goes for 17" in the front because my 18" are pretty close to the sport package calipers.

Yea , Im only concerned with rear... but I have a 17x7 wheel at my house and the main part of the wheel fits over the caliper but where it buldges it doesnt, but I am thinking a 17x10 with a +15 off set with be set way off the caliper and the caliper should be sitting in the middle of the wheel , not near any buldge...

I have a set of OEM 18s lined up with tires for the price of two of these wheels without tires so I have a decision to make
