New Sexy Advan Racing TCIII one piece wheels

So Yokohama (Advan Racing) has been keeping quite about their new TCIII wheels. First debuted earlier this year, not much info was given and very few pictures popped up. Mostly the CAD design and some showroom exposure. But yesterday they released some more pictures of the wheels in two different finishes and on several cars. So far it seems like these wheels are still in testing but hopefully in the final stages... I'll keep you guys informed once I have more info but for now here are some pictures

I am seeing these all over the BMW sites.

Looks like a nice "LMGT 4" style rim with greater "depth" to it. Are they still only offering 18's?

Looks like they copied the te37 but made it into a 5 spoke instead of 6 spoke. I'm not liking the polished center.

yea the BMW sites have been all over these but Advan hasn't officially released them yet, not sure they're just doing 18s though... from the pictures that might be the only size they have when they first release them

well if you look at it Advan has been making wheels since the 70's and they've had these TC wheels for a while, if you look at the other TC models, such as the TCII you can see where the design came from

I didn't really notice until you guys pointed it out :P

KamiSpeed 05-03-2011 02:48 PM

no but seriously am I the only one that likes these wheels? haha

kenchan 05-03-2011 03:29 PM

the spokes and everything look good, but that polished center is tacky. :D

is the silver (hyper silver) one the same way?

KusoSama 05-03-2011 03:49 PM

I like them as long as they're better than my OEM Ray's :)

Any specifics on OEM replacement sizes and weights?

Red__Zed 05-03-2011 03:51 PM

Yeah, not sure on that center

kenchan 05-03-2011 03:58 PM

at least they plugged up the hole for the spokes though. that hole was such a pita with water getting inside they even sold plastic caps for it. :D

the fact that the entire center is polished is throwing me off, especially if the mounting holes are that far recessed from the wheel face. the TE37SLs at least didn't have that much area polished because it was flatter, so it didn't look as awkward.

Yup the hyper silver is the same but less noticeable, I also think depending on what lug nuts you use they'll look different... but we'll have to wait until more pictures are released after they go on sale

No official specs released from Advan here in the US but I found this from a Japanese source:
18x9 +25
18x9.5 +45
18x10 +35
18x10.5 +25
18x11 +15

it might possibly change depending on what wheel size and offset you get but for you guys It'll look like it looks on the GT-R

I know some of these might be using a hyper disk to account for a BBK so that might explain why there is some much polished area but hopefully more pictures will be released soon with the specific fitment for the 370z
