wheel brand help...

I have a few options right now...need some expert advice...Sevas/ Stern/Forgestars....which are best for the Z in order of quality...thanks guys any info or advice helps. Im on a budget and have to take my winter set up off and my stock set was stolen so im in a jam...

stay away from sevas... word on the grape vine is not good. Forgestar had a few issues earlier on (search about caravan's wheel issue), Sterns seem to be good low budget wheels.

How about the Foose speed chrome in a 20" ?

Sevas was not bad on the forged side, just really bad on the cast wheel side except for their 19". I think Forgestar is pretty good, I mean they are Iforged which is MHT, and they make great wheels. What style were you looking into?

Also venaci is coming out with a new 3 piece wheel line that should be launching soon. Jamaica should have the first set this week! There are alot of options by going 3 piece. If your looking for on a budget I would say stick with ssr, work, venaci, or volk! All great quality without breaking the bank! All of these can be found under $3500 for the set.

I agree, but I think his budjet is a bit lower lol. I can say check out Axis for sure, TSW, and XXR seems to be getting a pretty good rep too now from what I see.

not at all. it's a OOB wheel (out of budget) for most folks. :D

imho Weds and TSW Nurb's are a good alternative for someone like me that dont race but want quality, yet not excessively priced, and light weight.

If they got stolen, can't you claim that on insurance for a inoperable vehicle?
My buddy's stock rays got stolen, and his insurance was gonna replace them with stock rays but he went for Enkei set. :driving:

I would have to agree with Chris, TSW and XXR are great for budget options.
If you have a little bit extra to squeeze, go for Enkei for get some used Nismo wheels!

no go on the XXR's unless for snows, but the TSW Nurbs are definitely worth a look.

Enkei RPF1's if you're on a budget or buy the wheels that I'm selling in the marketplace

Foose are for Stangs, Sevas are known for being very unsafe due to cracking.

TongMan 03-19-2011 08:23 AM

the best rims are the most expensive ones...duh
