new wheels : opinions

how do you guys think these will look on my Z ?

Stern ST-2 Rims....Falken FK452's...The front wheels are 20 x 8.5 20 offset and the rear are 20 x 9.5 25 offset

hdskull 02-28-2011 05:12 PM

I think they'd look fine, but you might want to go wider with a lower offset in the back.

SPOHN 02-28-2011 05:16 PM

Wider and lower offsets.

Nele22 02-28-2011 05:17 PM

Agreed.

Waiz 02-28-2011 06:42 PM

9.5 front and 10.5 rear would be ideal sizes.

Not a fan of that wheel though.

I think you should keep looking...

Alot of choices out there

fairladyZ34 02-28-2011 08:57 PM

Go for them if you like them, but like what people have said before...wider (9.5 and 10.5/11) and more aggressive offset in the rear.

Cheap wheels, horrible fitment and offsets. I'll never understand why people replace decent looking OEM wheels just to say "hey look...I have wheels!"

fairladyZ34 02-28-2011 11:39 PM

You found these on the g35nyc boards didnt you?

edit: ya did lol, stalk much i know

I believe those offsets are more appropriate for a 350Z and G. To play devil's advocate, people want to customize to make their's look different than everyone else's, but not everyone can afford $4G+ for customized, "authentic", or branding to look different. Thus they are willing to live with sacrifices, such as optimal fitment, weight, finish, etc...to stay within their means.

We each have our opinions and are free to express it on an open public forum, but ultimately it's the buyer's (OP) choice.

I totally agree. Buying expensive name brand wheels isn't for everyone, but there are quite a few decent looking wheels that fall into these Stern's price range that would be much better suited for the 370Z. Forgestar and Varrosten come to mind.
