anybody know how difficult it would be to get my TMPS's attached to these?

ZEDHEAD 04-23-2012 07:22 AM

The tire shop requested that I buy a new grommet kit-$8 (as old ones are typically damaged) from nissan to have my existing TPMS switched over. Otherwise it's as simple as removing/dismounting your existing setup taking off the tpms and putting in your new setup. If I'm not mistaken the location of each tpms must be on the same wheel as previous setup or it may not register with your cars computer.

Thanks, I'll look I to that. Now are there any good black or red lug nuts anyone can recommend without being charged through the roof for? I know there needs to be a specific one for our cars.

For a set of 19's piano black not sure about off set yet

We can definitely offer great pricing, but one thing that a lot of folks forget is customer service. Vivid has been in the business for over a decade, and we're not going anywhere. We've also got a track record of great service.

We're happy and willing to match or beat any price, any time we can. Just don't forget that the cheapest price often comes at a greater cost ;)

Any 12x1.25 lug nut with a conical seat will work. The cheaper ones will fade and change colors, though. I've seen many cheap lug nuts go from red to pink in just a few weeks of driving.

We carry and recommend the following:

Agency Power
RAYS
Muteki
Kics
Mackin eXtreme Performance (MXP)
Skunk2
TiKORE

These don't come in 9.5 and 10.5 widths, do they?

Thanks for the wheel order. I will update you tomorrow on the progress... :tiphat:

Verbal21 07-19-2012 03:39 PM

Just wondering if anybody else is still waiting on their order? Its been 2 months and if I had known I was going to miss out on having these this summer, when I ordered back in May, I would've definitely went in another direction.

ZEDHEAD 07-20-2012 02:49 PM

Unfortunately May is one of the busiest months for wheel manufacturing companies. For comparison sake, I ordered mine in late February and received them in late April. Who did you end up ordering from?

Unfortunately, this is nothing new for Forgestar. They've always kept their customers waiting :shakes head:

Half the reason I bought my F14's was because they were already at someone's garage and were shipped within a week.

I ordered from Scott here because he told me he'd only need a month and that was sooner than all other sellers here. He's usually good with communication but last I heard from him was last month and he said another couple of weeks, and he never answered my texts earlier this week so frustration is slowly creeping in since we're almost in August and I still have nothing.

oro 07-22-2012 09:38 PM

Hmmm...so is Forgestar backed up? I was looking at trying to get a set of 20's for my gf's ride but if the wait is months and months away I might just try to find something of similar looks from a different builder. I can stand when someone tells me an approximate wait time, I absolutely hate getting strung along for months and never want to do that again.

I contacted Scott(RA) last year from a post he had in this thread, it took quite some time for him to respond to my email (this gave me a bad vibe). He also accused Vivid racing of using an old pricing structure and I thought that was a greasy sales tactic. Vivid honored the lower price and I was not pleased that Scott advocated he could meet or beat anybody elses price. I was going to keep this to myself but...I work in sales and it really p----- me off when I see someone make a sale then break communication because they know its already finalized. While I can imagine Forgestar is pretty clustered right now, there is no excuse for poor communication.

My experience with Vivid Racing was good, it was still a 2 month wait but the communication along the way was first class. For future owners looking for F14's please check out all your options and don't take anybody's word for anything...find out for yourself!

Post a pic here when you get your wheels!

Forgestar wait times are 6-8 weeks. I have only seen a couple sets that have came sooner than that.

Verbal21 07-23-2012 04:22 PM

Considering I paid him April 13th, I don't think taking 16 weeks was ever an option I agreed upon:shakes head:

I understand his problems on various boards but he seemed like a legit guy and I know a few unhappy people can make something seem like a really big issue but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I guess I'm reaping what I sewed, definitely not a happy camper right now:shakes head:

GetYourWheels 07-23-2012 04:32 PM

Wow that is a long wait time jeez.

vividracing 07-23-2012 04:51 PM

No Bueno.

^^ Very true, I have come to see that pattern of wheel companies being busy in the summer months.

Wow, really? Its only been a couple weeks or so since I last spoke to you (about your color choice on your wheels)

First of all, I no longer get text messages on the work line when I am out of town, so chances are I didn't get any texts if I did not respond to them.

Second of all I have tried contacting you a couple different times, I even left you a voice mail earlier TODAY for the number I have for you.
Sorry you seem to feel different, but I feel I have done what I could to keep you updated with Forgestars progress as best as I could even going as far as sending you a picture of the updated progress e-mail I get from Forgestar.

Sorry the wheels took longer than I was told they would by Forgestar, but its kind of sad to start up a lynch mob tactic on me on a forum (then followed by two other venders on here that I KNOW first hand are direct violators of Forgestars minimum sale price policy as it is)

The good news is... the word from Forgestar today is your wheels should be finished and ready to ship out to me to mount your tires this week, then I will ship them out to you in NJ. So I was needing to wrap up your final payment.
Sorry you felt the need to smear me on a forum because a wheel manufacturer took a couple/few extra weeks manufacturing your custom ordered wheels.

Verbal21 07-24-2012 12:38 PM

Nice finally getting to speak with you, Scott. This is the first time I'm buying custom wheels and the frustration from waiting was just getting to me. From the sounds of it, this deal should be done within a couple of weeks and that's all I want.

As a consumer that doesn't sound like much of a diss to me. :stirthepot:

Like I mentioned to you already, your complete tire and wheel order is here... all mounted, balanced, and sitting here just ready to ship out to you just as soon as you can pay your remaining balance.

Awesome, can't wait to get these in. Any recommendations on what kind of black lug nuts would work best with these, especially with my offset?
