Stock wheel price

With many of us converting to aftermarket wheels, the chances are likely that some of us will be selling ours (stockers).

So, what's the MSRP on either the standard or sport wheels? I think that would be a good place to start for setting a price point to members who need to buy but don't neccissarily want to spend $$$ at Nissan.

I am looking to sell mine (sport 19's) but I have no idea how much to charge.

SoCal 370Z 04-02-2009 11:25 AM

Are you selling both the rims and tires together? I know JoeyD was the first one here at the forum looking for the 19" Rays.

MightyBobo 04-02-2009 11:33 AM

Dibs on the rear passenger side one if you wanna split one :).

Ryan@IP 04-02-2009 11:35 AM

I just checked on an OEM Nissan parts site (just a random dealership selling parts online) and they list the Sport 19's at $796 for the front $847 for the rear. That's honestly about what I expected; OEM replacement wheels are usually ridiculously expensive. It will probably take a while before resale prices on OEM wheels start to level out.

I know the 19's are still made by Rays, but you can get a really nice set of 19" Volks for cheaper ;)

JoeyD 04-02-2009 11:38 AM

Yeah I'm still looking. SoCal has been very helpful in pointing me towards potential sellers. I hate to divulge this information, because the price is outrageous considering the whole sport package costs this much but...

$796.27 Front
$847.08 Rear

Is Nissan list price. Typical Volk (Rays) pricing.

MightyBobo 04-02-2009 11:55 AM

You finding cheaper prices on single wheels?

JoeyD 04-02-2009 12:08 PM

Nope.

However, 1) I'm almost cetain your wheel could be repaired to an OEM spec. You probably would never know the difference. and 2) Vendors are selling the stock Akebono brakes for almost 300 dollars cheaper than Nissan has them listed for. This leads me to believe there is some play in Nissans prices (if the right person asks them).

Oh, I dont disagree - Im still going to call the dealers wheelman today, and see what he says before I worry about replacing it, if I even do it at all.

RCZ 04-02-2009 12:20 PM

I would guess that they would level out somewhere around $500...no?

I am getting a little boo boo on my wheel fixed too....

arcticreaver 04-02-2009 12:26 PM

Tell me how it turns out, and if you use some random non-dealer place. Just want to see how well some place can match the paint that is supposedly "proprietary"...

BTW thanks for the PM, sorry for the confusion.

arcticreaver 04-02-2009 02:05 PM

wow really? for the stock rims huh? maybe i get sell my rims on ebay so i can fund aftermarket ones i want.

ChrisSlicks 04-02-2009 02:17 PM

I'll probably be selling my nearly brand new stock tires if anyone needs to mate them up to these wheels.

KillerBee370 04-02-2009 04:47 PM

Thanks for the reply's and OEM info guys. I am going to sell just my stock 19's without the tires as I need to hold on to a little cash right now.

In order to be fair, I will come up with a good price for my fellow 370 peeps! Let me just get my new wheels mounted and then I will post up a price. I'm thinking probably in the neighborhood of $400 each for all 4.

Sorry I haven't been watching the thread today as I am down working on my boat today.
