305/35/19

So...does anyone have any pictures of what a 305 size tire looks like on the NIsmo 370z.

I want to go wider in the rear.

and 1 size bigger in the front.

TongMan 02-13-2011 03:37 AM

I think if you go any wider than 295, you would have to go with a sidewall of 30.

Chan Chee Hoe 02-13-2011 07:52 AM

In my view,285/35-19 fit to our rear rims more nicely.

NISMOFO 03-04-2011 10:39 PM

Not very many people even make a 305/35 as far as I know.

Cell 03-04-2011 10:47 PM

I was wondering the same thing.... I was wondering why everyone went with 305/30 and not 305/35... I guess it is because of manufacturers?

Yea, not completely sure about the 30 vs 35, but may have something to do with being a wider tire with the same 19" wheel. All i know is when i bought my RE-11's, they only sold the 305's as a 30. So, my fronts are: 265/35/19 and rear: 305/30/19. I don't have a pic directly from behind the car (i'll shoot one tomorrow), but here's a pic of the 305 prior to mounting and then a side pic of the car. I know it's not a Nismo, but, you get the idea:

Agreed. 305/30 is the correct tire height, 305/35 would be 15mm taller overall. There is some pics in my gallery of the 305/30 installed on the stock 10" sport rim, you should expect it to show fractionally wider on the Nismo rim.

I rarely like beefy tires and black on black te37's Osiris but you my friend have one clean Z. Looks sick!

Mine's not a Nismo, sorry. But they are 305/25/20 on the rear and 265/30/20 on the front (no spacers). They are 9-1/2" wide on the front and 10-1/2" wide on the rear.

But the stock side wall for the rears is at 35. This is why it was confusing to me why people went smaller. I just don't see how going from stock to 305 is going to increase the side walls. Can someone explain it to me?

Big J 03-05-2011 01:26 PM

I think you need to learn how to read tire sizes maybe.

Cell 03-05-2011 02:06 PM

Never mind my last post... I understand why people go 30 and not 35 now. It represents a percentage of the width. I always thought it represented millimeters.

Isn't this forum about learning? Maybe you should of explained the correct way to read a tire size instead of posting something that is pointless?

:iagree: That post was kind of rude.

My bad dude. Im at mardi gras in new orleans and was eating. I meant no disrespect and figured a quick google search would be faster and probably more understandable than a short fast post by me.
