I really like this design, if you keep the concave & have a gun metal color this might be my rim of choice.

I have your poison lol, but I think you know that already.

lol i will refrain from saying anything negative

Thanks for the PM, but I think leaving the thread open helps potential buyers have the same problem. I don't want to degrade VIP, I just think WHEN people have this same issue they have somewhere to refer to. Then they can see that it is normal to take so long to get these wheels and that VIP is a busy man ;)

What does everybody else think about that??

Leave it open, or close it??

Its not normal for wheels to take almost 5 months, BUT if he is having a problem with the manufacturer then thats really not his fault. At the end of the day delays happen, and at least he is trying to fix the delays.

definitionxmk 01-26-2011 11:12 PM

If you close it... there will be another one. And people will click in two threads for references and it's just extra work for both the vendor and customers... That's pretty cool of you for asking.

It's up to you though, but there are still some issues in this thread. Making multiple threads asking for a vendor status doesn't go well for both parties...

zero 01-26-2011 11:17 PM

It's not normal if you are getting mass produced rims. Custom made to order is another story here. My volk took 5 months becasue of custom color.

Jamaica 01-26-2011 11:21 PM

If there are issues:
Call Rick Even though some of you say you can get a hold of him..
which is BS
His office is open 10:30am to 7pm pacific time.
1-310-618-8886

Yes the voicemail says they have moved which needs to be corrected.
They have a guy named chris working there also that can help. Call and call until you get rick.

i call the shop daily and get a hold of him.

The wheels that are being produced in Japan are custom wheels. They dont do one set and push it out on freight, they have to do the wheels in sets in large sets. If the wheels werent done in large sets it would cost 5k plus shipping.

But as rick stated its all being changed for the new line.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's BS to not be able to contact him. Aside from people who called from the States, we have people overseas (Brunei, Germany, Middle East) that have called with long distance charges. I'm not speaking for everyone but I had to buy phone cards in order to call to the states. Everytime a voicemail or someone picks up for a second, I lose 5 minutes from a 60 minute card. It adds up when no one picks up and/or some other guy picks up and says "He's not here right now". Like it's not that expensive, but that's additional time/money that could have been avoided. Not to mention I have to walk to another camp...

I bought skype too but turns out VOIP is prohibited in my area. (That and porn! x_x) So my only (cost effective) options are email and this forum. Even getting the internet is a pain... I had to put my laptop out my tent to get one bar of wireless. Either that or use the computer at work.

Honestly, I don't care how the wheels are made, how long customs are, shipping, etc... I was given a date and it's has been 2 months over. Rick is a great guy. I have nothing bad to say about him. In fact he offered to ship my wheels to Hawaii (suppose to be local pickup by my brother in SoCal) at a reasonable rate to compensate the wait... but really, that's another waiting period I would have to deal with again @_@'

Forgive my ranting but I just don't want to finish this 6 month deployment without having the wheels I ordered when I started. Especially when I was given a "if you order now I can have it to you by this date" quote.

I'm not here to make enemies, I'm not here to talk ****, I just want my wheels... please?

i love you guys.
