Are gold wheels on a white car still cool?
 

I have a PW sport and always liked the look of gold wheels. I'm an old dude though and been out of the loop for a while. Is the gold/white combo played out now a days? I know black is the fashion of the day but just doesn't appeal to me. I really, really don't like the rim poking out past the fender either, but flush is good. (people need to look up the true definition of flush) I was thinking of Venaci Spirits in gold with a more square setup. 20x10 with 275/30 in the front and 20.x10.5 rear with 285/30 tires. Lowering my car is out of the question because of the roads around here. Any opinions before I spend the bucks?

All that matters is if it's cool in your mind or not. I think a nice gold/bronze wheel looks good, especially with a polished lip. :tup:

Hellz yeah! That never gets old if you do it correctly. I have the bronze wheels on my Z and always get compliments.

I had gold wheels on my last car. I really liked the way they looked. But in the end I felt like they drew too much attention for me. If you are into that then definitely go for it. Gold or Bronze really does look amazing on a white car.

+1... i hate seeing people check to see if others approve before they do something. what you should do is see if they approve and when they dont, u do it and prove them wrong ;). enjoy your car bro and do whatever makes you happy with it not what makes everyone else happy. :)

but since i came on here with a whole thing of junk to say. yes i do think gold looks good on a white car :)

mine is black, but i ran gold wheels for a while and it looked good

it can look good but depends on the design of wheel i suppose.

I know, and I agree with you. I already said I personally like the white/gold setup. If I had people tell me what to like I'd have black rims, way stretched tires and have them poking 30mm past my fenders. More power to them if that's what you like, just not my style. But, I just didn't want to do something that would make people point and laugh either even if I thought it was cool. Just wanted to know what other people like too. Like I said I've been out of the loop for a while. This is my first little import sports car, I've been a old school muscle car owner before this.

White is such a nice base. You can pull off any wheel color on it. :tup:
