Thanks for the pics!

Nice SSR's.

I was curious about the 18/19 combo because the wheels I settled on did not come in a 19x10, but did come in a 18x10.

I was stuck on the 10" front because I was under the belief that a 275 wide tire would fit with no problems up there. I was just corrected that I need to run a 265 front because its not likely that I will fit a 275.

With that being the case, I went ahead and ordered the 19x9.5 and 19x11s.

ChrisSlicks 10-19-2010 02:59 PM

You will fit a 275 quite easily up front provided the wheel has a reasonable offset.

phunk 10-19-2010 03:09 PM

ah well, the tires i want dont come in a 275/30/19 anyway, just a 265.

I would always prefer the larger tires though. Perhaps I should be fine with the 265s for street use anyway... if I end up tracking the car I can get some cheap 18s maybe in 10s and 11s

i had 265/305 combo on my 350z for a while and it worked well... although you can tell more meat in the front would balance it better but i needed the big rears for the TT.

I think it'll look a little funky?

toxik 10-19-2010 03:40 PM

nismo 350z had 18's front and 19's in the rear... always thought it looked fine with those wheels.

... i've seen a ton of nismo 350's with those wheels and never did it look bad to me. personal opinion..

WarmAndSCSI 10-19-2010 04:13 PM

To pull this off, you need a real difference in concavity and offset front-to-rear... otherwise, it just looks silly.

I removed all the stickers except the "grocery list" on the skirts. I wanted to leave some evidence that this was once the CFR NOS car. And I like the Cherry red/Yellow color scheme.

wow, this thread turned from someone asking about a certain setup, and falcor being nice enough to post his setup, to getting sh*t on about his car.:shakes head: its one thing if someone posts up a thread of some ugly fake body kit they put on with some giant fake hood scoop, and people flame them, but this is not the case by any means....

ClemsonWill 10-21-2010 09:02 AM

I've seen a number of S2ks with 17/18 inch setups. I think it gives the car an aggressive look. It's definitely something different.

Falcor, I wouldn't have even noticed yours were 18/19s if you hadn't pointed it out. Your car looks good!

Thank you both for restoring my faith in this forum. I know that everyone has their own opinions on what looks good but damn.
