What do you think of Advant Garde wheels?

I was browsing through ebay and stumbled upon these wheels. They look similar to the Forgestars and come in staggared setup just for our 370z.

Are those appreciably heavier than the sport package rims? I think they look great, but I would not get them in flat black since the wheel tends to get lost in the wheel well.

I like the replica, but I wanted it in either gold or bronze, which they don't have.

Look a LOT heavier than the spt rims

ncheung85 10-14-2010 08:34 PM

I love them. I'm currently saving up for a set of these with a set of coilover.

It's a lot cheaper than the hre p40.

Have they slowed you down at all? I'm just wondering if weight is a problem with these wheels?

kenchan 01-24-2011 11:00 AM

i donno, if im going mesh i would get the TSW nurbs. they are comparable to the sport19's weights (21-22lbs area, not 27lbs). 5lbs unspurng weight is like adding 100lbs to your car. also check out forgestar.

Z2nv 01-24-2011 11:08 AM

the tsw nurb wheels are super light, when i got my set for my svt cobra i took them out and the fisrt thing i said is "wow" this wheel is super light! i paid 1200 all in for a set 9X19 and 10.5X19.. the only thing is they arent really concaved like the advant's.. more flat faced.

TonyBPD 01-24-2011 11:13 AM

Not that I can really tell. They are approximately 25lbs. (f) and 27lbs. (r). They are heavier than my stock 18's I would imagine. I'm not heading out to the strip anytime soon.

Mine are on the way. Can't wait to get them put on. Will post pictures when my swift springs and wheels get put on.

I didn't have any plans on lowering mine but after ready up on the Swift springs I may be lowering it.

the sport rays arent exactly feather weights but I am sure these are a touch heavier... They are nice though...

and that white Z needs to be lowered ASAP! Wheels def. look good though...

the rays are pretty light for streetable wheels of their size.

I believe these guys wind up being 5-6 lbs heavier, which is pretty substantial in my mind.
