20" Wheel Spacers & Bigger Tires on Stock Rays

So I'm about to hit 13,000 miles & I recently had a nail removed from my left rear tire. I had it plugged and I'm currently running on it. I was thinking I'll run on it for a little while then eventually switch to bigger tires. So here is where my tire research begins.

I like to go to the quarter mile, will be participating in autoX events & i love riding on the streets period. I live in the north east so I get snow but she's garaged when it does.

My car is dropped on Eibach springs but I'm switching to Tein Flex Coilovers very soon (Coils > Springs any day). I have 20mm Ichiba Wheel Spacers all around with the Stock 19" Rays on stock rear Bridgetone Potenza 275 tires.

Now I've been doing research & I like the Bridgetone RE11's a lot.
I want to go bigger rear tires. Basically bigger tires in general. I was thinking 265s in the front & 295-305s rear.

Here are some pics of my car right now with the Eibach Springs & 20mm Ichiba Wheel Spacers:

Remember I'm going Tein Flex Coilovers soon but I won't be dropped drastically. I want to keep the car height as close as possible to the height with the springs on.

So yeah does anyone have 20mm Wheel spacers or wheel spacers in general with bigger tires dropped on Coilovers or springs? Any fitment issues? Any rubbing/scraping? Any feedback please. I'd greatly appreciate them. Thanks!

Your car looks good. But that g37 is sky high!

Yeah don't worry the g37 is getting dropped soon lol. But yeah I went with 20" spacers because I wanted my wheels to be aligned with the fenders. Anybody have or know anybody with Spacers running on bigger/fatter tires running on coils or springs? I really wanna know whats biggest size I can go for the tires with the spacers on w/o any fitment issues.

We are just laughing because you keep saying 20" spacers. Inches != millimeters. If you were using 20" spacers then your wheels would be sticking completely outside of the wheel wells. :)

ROFL, woops. I have 20MM* SPACERS all around, not Inch lmao. Is your car dropped flashburn? Your sig says you have 15&20's. & your running 285 rear. Hows the fitment?

Nope, not dropped, running stock. I can't really get away with a drop around here. I already scrape my driveway, and other various places around the area. Fitment is fine, but I'm probably going to go wider once I replace the V12's with RE-11's.

Oh ok, yeah I understand. I went with springs just to see how it looks dropped. I liked it but I want handling too which is why I'm switching to Teins & most likely throw on a sway bar kit. I hate body roll. I really wanna go wider though with no fitment issues. Hopefully someone here can re-assure me.

Yeah, I might go with KWV3's, but I wouldn't drop too much. Definitely going to get the Stillen sways eventually.

Nice. Your car is tuned? I'm getting tuned on Tuesday. UpRev FTW. Do you have 5 maps?

I was tuned with Cobb, but I returned it when they stopped supporting us. Should be getting my check from them any day now.

I'm waiting for UpRev to add support for the 2010 ECU, which they should have by this week or next. Once that is done and my intakes are installed I'll be doing datalogs for the e-tune. I'll only have 3 maps, stock, tune, valet. I couldn't think of any other tunes I'd want.

dainedazz 09-02-2010 01:43 PM

True. These are my 5;

1. Valet (3k)
2. Anti-Theft
3. Stock
4. 91 Octane
5. 93 Octane & Higher
