Chief, standard front tire is 40 profile not 45......if you have 45's on then you're driving a pimpmobile!

victorofhavoc 05-18-2015 09:21 AM

you're right, my bad. My other car was a 45 and I got it mixed up. Oh well

Get your alignment checked. That's likely causing you issues

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already. Only glanced at a few posts here and there.

I am pretty sure Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the king of the street/track combo?

Any thoughts in comparison?

I think re-11's are way better the PSS on the track. If you read many of the reviews PSS performance starts to degrade once they get hot and during warm and hot days. They are quieter and wear better than re-11's and they cost more. I think that sums it up...

One more word, at 500 RWHP if the road is 100 and the tires are up to temp, I can WOT in first gear without any wheel spin. Stock gears and LSD. Only in a straight line, any turn and the rear blows out. RE11's rock!!

ZWig22 06-13-2015 10:56 AM

After reading this thread I put the RE-11s on my sport Z. I went up to 265's and 305's. I already love this tire. Don't think I'll ever have a reason to try something different.

Got some 265/35 + 305/30 RE-11's on the way for my Nismo, can't wait!

kenchan 07-01-2015 12:54 PM

a couple of weeks ago i swapped my nismo wheels with RE11's to my other set with DW... :ugh2:

needless to say, the next day i swapped back to my RE11 wheels. :D

Oops. Guess you will need RE11's on those too.

I've got about 100 miles on these RE-11's so far and they are great. I appreciate all the input in this thread!

yah, once you RE11 dont even think you can go to another tire. lol

this tire is so predictable even while slipping, it feels like you're cheating.

NORAIN 07-09-2015 03:37 PM

I just got a set in 305/265 2 days ago. Haven't pushed them yet but can already see they are far superior to the S-04's they replaced. I can't wait to track them!
How much longer will they be around is the question? They are supposedly phasing them out...?
