What is up with the green valve stem caps

Picked up my car last night looks great but whats up with the green valve stem caps,I was told that it was to tell the dealer that the wheels are filled with nitrogen instead of air.

If you guys know the answer I would like to here from you.

Green caps are normally placed to signify that the tires are filled with nitrogen.

Mine actually had quite a gap and when I tried to tighten them they all cracked. So I have black ones now.

I think you can get metal caps with green dot if you still want to signify that the tires are filled with nitrogen.
