they are good for daily driver to putt around in, but they are marginal at best under any track or autox use.

from what i've read, you don't feel vibration in the steering wheel from issues with rear wheels/tires like balancing issues etc.

I know and understand where your coming from. Dedicated track rims and tires are the best combo and probably cost effective in the long run. For DD they are very good, but as you mentioned when getting serious they get soft and let go. What kind of mileage do you expect out of them?

I'm expecting around 20-25k, which I think is reasonable. Time will tell, but I'm not too worried about it given the costs.

I will be doing my first track event on them probably, so I'm sure that will eat into their life a good deal.

I "seriously" drive these tires all the time. I "seriously" drove my stock tires below the wear bars at just over 11k miles. I don't track them so I cannot comment there.

I do wonder though, if these tires were slapped with a $400 per tire price tag how many would worship them? :confused:
