thanks to all who helped

Wanted to post a thanks to all who weighed in on this whole Roadster wheel lock, lug nut torque thing. It's not as exciting as most of the posts, but it was important to me.

This morning, I went out and backed off each lug, and re-torqued them, one at a time, to 80 ft. lbs. torque, now I KNOW they are all tightened properly.

I will re-check after 600 miles, then at each oil change, if not sooner, as recommended by the Nissan owners manual and some list members.

I have to say that as infantile as this job was, it felt great to "work" on my Roadster! I am going to order my Race Ramps this week so I'm ready for the fist oil change. Saw a real nice creeper with rubber wheels the other day. Have to add that to my work area too.

And this week, I'm ordering a spare tire from the dealer.

Now to get this baby on the road. Hoping for an early Spring.

Did you go through a scary moment due to loose lug nuts? Please explain, dude.

No, LOL. This has just been quite a silly adventure, as Ak can attest to. All I wanted to do was to buy some wheel locks for my Roadster wheels, and from there, it took on a mind of it's own, and ended with a discussion over the actual torque that the lugs and locks should be tightened to. No big deal, really. I was only commenting to the Forum that even though this was a small, boring "Mod," I appreciated the help I got from the Forum. But, at least now we all know where us Roadster wheel guys stand regarding the issue. So, it's all good.
