Proper Wheel Locks from Nissan

2 Attachment(s)
It seems there is still a lot of confusion over the proper part # etc for the Sport Wheels etc.

The proper Nissan part # is 99998-JT000

Cheers!

Sorry I don't have a price as mine were part of the deal with the car.

C'mon, Nissan...

Thanks. But a car with expensive, forged 19" wheels should have come with wheel locks, stock. This wheel begs to be stolen. Many cars at lower price points and with less fancy wheels include them (my RX-8 did). :stirthepot:

Something is wrong with the writing on your package. :stirthepot:

Same here, and what's worse is that they broke off leaving me with a mess.

It's too bad I didn't see your thread before I went to Crappy Tire to buy the WRONG kind of wheel locks. I took off one of the lug nuts only to be surprised that it doesn't look like any of the ones off my other Nissans/Infinitis. Guess I'm returning this set tomorrow and buying the right locks from the dealer.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

wheee! 03-24-2010 08:00 AM

Find out the price for them or try and get them to throw them into the deal! I got the locks and Nitro fills for free for all 8 tires. Worth a try.

djpathfinder 03-24-2010 08:49 AM

They are $54.99 CDN

Any thief worth his salt can steal a wheel with a wheel lock on it. It's not hard to obtain the wrench.

FuszNissan 03-24-2010 10:55 AM

You wouldn't believe how many customers come in and say they lost there wheel lock, we get them off with no issues.

djpathfinder 03-24-2010 11:11 AM

Then what do you guys suggest to deter wheel theft?

FuszNissan 03-24-2010 11:14 AM

Wheel theft occurs when your car is outside overnight. I think wheel locks will help, but it won't be your end all answer. The biggest deterrent is park in your garage, if you have one.

On ebay for $35.00
OEM Nissan Infiniti wheel locks G35 G37 EX35 370Z : eBay Motors (item 200459068877 end time Apr-14-10 15:10:28 PDT)

After seeing another thread where his z was on cinder blocks, these are a must for the sport wheels

wheee! 04-12-2010 01:56 PM

Just a small price to pay for a little piece of mind....

In2uitiv 04-20-2010 09:11 PM

These are not OEM wheel locks, but I highly recommend them for anyone with valuable wheels.

$29.00+7% tax=$31.03. So far, so good! BTW, how much for the Gorillas?!

wheee! 04-22-2010 01:17 PM

Keep in mind the gorrillas are NOT compatible with the sport wheels. We need the washer style lug nuts.

cossie1600 04-22-2010 01:26 PM

Not sure why, but my OEM wheel locks are different style. If anyone wants it, half price. I hate wheel locks. They were on the car for less than two weeks

wheee! 04-22-2010 01:31 PM

If they are washerless, toss'em

Billarf 04-22-2010 01:32 PM

Need to look like this...... These are the Nissan wheel locks for the 370Z.

You probably got the 350Z locks, may of us did as the dealers are clueless. They can't be used successfully on a 370Z as they will break, guess you could sell them to a 350 owner.

wheee! 04-22-2010 07:09 PM

Wow... I guess people don't read the first post anymore! :icon14:

It's the dealers that are the problem. They are installing them without even asking the customer. Nissan created a TSB for them even, yet they are still getting installed, fortunately not as many.

cossie1600 04-22-2010 08:57 PM

Are these the 350 wheel locks?

I can just go back and bitch for a set

wheee! 04-22-2010 09:16 PM

Absolutely wrong locks!!! Look at the first post for proper part number etc!

Not even the usual 350 locks, probably for a Sentra or something stupid. Does it have a part number?

Go back and ask them for the correct locks,
part #999W2-JT000
or 999W2-Z3409

Not sure what the 99998-JT000 part is but I'm guessing that is the same part as well.

That would be the Canadian part number I guess. Same thing except french and english packaging.

The Gorilla wheel locks cost me under $25 shipped from Amazon.

I should rephrase myself and state that these are highly recommended for aftermarket wheels.
