Don't be scared, just take your time. Just pick one of the spokes and wipe it down first with alcohol. Just make sure you put it on the same spoke on all four wheels. Look forward to seeing them on the car.

^agree with alcohol! and it should be easier to put the decals on before the wheels are mounted on the car. And most of us put the decals here. But you're free to choose any spoke of your liking :)

Have you tried spraying soapy water when applying stickers? You can move them around until you're satisfied.

The clear spray that comes with cell phone protective films also work great

Did you use a credit card or squeegee while you were applying them? A hair dryer is helpful also. If you end up using soapy water or the cell phone film stuff pls post an update. I was considering this myself but wasn't sure if it would work with sticker. I know tint application requires it but I'm assuming it's a different adhesive with tint vs sticker.

just did my stickers on my TE37SL few weeks ago, first one was 95% perfect after that I decided to do the last 3 doing the soap and water, man wished I'd done it on first wheel. It definitely works, it allows you freely move sticker to make sure placement is right. Make sure to have something to squeeze excess water/bubbles. Sorry posting a little late

As far as where to place sticker, I noticed most Rays display pics always place it on the second spoke going counter clockwise from the center of air valve. its where I place mine. Hope all this helps

Thank you! I originally planned on just getting the exhaust from the owner but after seeing some pics of his ride I decided to snag the wheels and coils instead haha.

Does formula silver look good in person?

Zerafian 05-08-2016 11:47 AM

am I the only one that misses Rays producing numerous 2 piece wheels like they did in the early 2000s? As much as I respect TEs, I feel like thats mainly we we see. Im a little burnt out.

Yes! Looks great in person.
My G2 type 2s are Formula Silver. Depending on the light, they vary from dark silver to medium silver. A good description is silver with a black chrome undercoat. On my rims the formula silver partially transitions to that black under coat making the front of the rim really pop.

BTW in the top 2 pics, my door handles, side markers, emblems, and head lights are painted a darker silver to compliment my Formula Silver rims. Bottom 2 pics are the OEM bright silver.

I love most of Rays GT series wheels too. I had their GT-M's in gloss black on my IP 2006 G35c.

Those stickers don't look right . . . shouldn't they be wider to fit the spoke?
