Alrighty gents, I'm thinking of picking up a set of CE-28's from my friend. Here are the specs.

9.5 front 245/35/19 and 10.5 275/35/19 rear +22 all the way around.

I'm at stock height (base + sport package) right now and plan to be for a good while. My questions are...

1) Will they clear my OEM brakes? They clear his OEM Brembos.

2) How will the fitment look? I got an idea of how it will look from browsing some of the threads here, but, I was wondering if someone has a picture of this set up.

3) Will my speedometer be off at all? The stock wheel and tire specs are 9.0 245/40/19 front, 10.0 275/35/19 rear. Unknown offsets for the front and rears.

Any help is appreciated. :tiphat:

They'll fit. The front will have a bit of poke, the rear will be flush
Speedo won't be off by an applicable difference. I don't have pics, sorry

Dreadnaught 02-17-2014 02:09 AM

Thank you for your response. :D lol

I figured the speedo wouldn't be off much if at all.

I believe the rims I'm looking at buying are mercury silver. I think they will look good on my Solid Red Z.

Waiz 02-24-2014 06:43 PM

Ray you noob, you know that will easily clear :D

I would just run a 255-35-19 front and at least a 285-35-19 rear

If you plan on lowering the car, +22 rear offset will not be flush. I have +22 in the back with camber kit and 305/30/19 tires and it was not flush enough for me. I'm currently using a 15mm to push them out but I think +12 is the ideal offset you're looking for.

djtodd 02-26-2014 08:37 PM

10.5 +12 is what I'm running and it's just about perfect.

djtodd 02-26-2014 08:38 PM

With 305 rears that is

Sorry for not asking this earlier, but, how would a 10.5 +12 in the rear sit with the same specifications I mentioned earlier?

From what I've seen those will be flush. Don't know how low you are sitting and what your camber is but should be almost perfect fitment. Was thinking about the 57xtreme for some "play" wheels with those offsets in the rear. Currently waiting on the Light Prism G27 to arrive and those have +25 in rear, and with measuring I will have .49" until tire is flush ~12mm spacer.

These are 9.5 +22 fronts with 265/35/19s and 10.5 +12 rear with 305/30/19s, in street setup (very little camber).

Basically flush without having to run any camber (although a degree or two would give you a little cushion). A narrower tire would also have more clearance, but...please for the love of god, don't go down the "stretched" path. What an silly concept.

Footloose301 03-24-2014 07:32 PM

Perfect fitment^

Leave the stretched garbage to the VW's

kazman 03-24-2014 08:23 PM

love that rear fitment

Yeah man, amazing setup. Love it. The only thing it really needs now is a rotor upgrade. Even if you don't track the car just go with the cheap Z1 slotted rotors. They're great and they give the vehicle a slightly more aggressive edge.

Eclipz 03-24-2014 11:54 PM

I dont know what I like more, TE-37 or GTS

Post up when they are installed! :happydance:

fuct 03-25-2014 03:48 PM

boost lee i cant believe how wide that 285 looks on your 10.5" rim. 305 will look great!

Boost_lee 03-26-2014 12:14 AM

Thanks. I'll lose some sidewall going with a 30 series, but I'm guessing it will look the same from the above angle. The contact patch should look much better though :)

I'm more excited about the 275's up front, I really hate that gap with the 245's

Might be awhile though.
Got to find some one who can color match it which will not be easy.
Once it is done I'll definitely post pics.

A year later....

Challenge completed!
Formula Silver is a difficult color to match.
The guys at ONEighty did a great job and got very close.

ONEighty also painted the head lights (installed LED Halo mod too), side markers, and emblems.

My Z was a hit a my club's car show over the week end.

Looking good VABAM! I'm liking the door handles too. And those wheels are awesome! LOL! Congrats on the awards too. Sorry I missed the TZCC show last weekend. At least a few of the Emerald City guys made it to the show.

BTW our show is on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Lee Nissan in Wilson. I'll be sending Todd a flyer this week.

Am I the first person to ever go from Varrstoen ES2's to legit Volk TE37's? :rofl2:

Just got these in today from RavSpec. Originally thought I would get these powder coated because I'm not the biggest fan of silver wheels, but I kind of fell in love with them. Was considering powder coating to either a matte bronze or hi-metal bronze (if possible). My z is a PW 2014, will post pics later when installed :happydance:

FairladyZ10PG 06-10-2014 10:10 PM

^looks good as is :)

Eclipz 06-10-2014 10:40 PM

Sorry for being a noob. For tire measurements, say 305/30/19, the middle number is supposed to be the percent ratio of the sidewall height to the tire width right? So the side wall height is 91.5 mm in total top and bottom, so just the side wall height from wheel to tread is half of that, so 45.75mm correct?

Btw, volk gts phantom is my favorite wheel :) dont see many of you running them though
