Touring Wheel Center Caps
I'm working towards pretty much debadging the entire outside of my Z (with the exception of the Z turn signals). I would like to replace the "Nissan" center caps on my touring wheels with blank caps. Has anyone see these for sale anywhere?
|
the z store has a couple of center caps..........but i am not sure if they will fit 370z
|
I didn't see any for the 370, but I'll look through their site. Thanks!
|
i didnt replace them i just painted them and they look good.

I've pretty much wondered the same thing. I've debadged the car (with the exception of the Rear Nissan emblem - until I can find a suitable / cheaper replacement)
With regards to the center caps. I contacted several Rays vendors and here is one of the responses I received: "The wheels that come with the 370Z will be special order from Rays by Nissan and won't match the wheels sold separately by Rays as far as center caps go. You may get lucky, but Rays doesn't list compatibility with OEM Nissan wheels. The only thing we could suggest would be to measure the existing center cap and compare to the Rays center caps as per their website: RAYS CO., LTD. " I just have not measured the inner and outer cap circumferences to compare against the Rays website Flat Type center cap yet. I plan to do that this Saturday, however if you get a chance to do it before me, let me know and we can compare measurements. Quote:

I won't have a chance to play around with the Z this weekend. It's supposed to snow and I'm moving. So if you happen to get around to it, let me know the measurements.
Thanks! |
Well, from what I can tell the center caps for the sports wheels are 2 1/8 inch for the outer ring and 1 7/8 inch for the inner ring. Yet on the rays website they use some odd symbol measurement and can not find a conversion for it. Grrrr....

Nothing can ever be easy.

Any luck with finding replacement center caps for the 19" Rays?
|
I haven't looked. I've been to busy with work, not to mention the fact that my Z is literally buried under several feet of snow (see my pics). When I get around to it, I’ll let you know. Do the same if you find something.

Will do. Mine is currently up on stands. Too bad you are up in the North East dealing with that snow! I hope it clears up sometime soon so you can get to driving her (always assume it is a her) again. |
Yes, it's a her. We're in the middle of another snow storm right now, so who knows when i'll get to drive her again.

Anybody ever find any good touring center caps?
I'd love to get rid of the Nissans..... |
I'm looking for the same center cap solution. I took a look around, but haven't come up with anything yet.

I'm still interested as well, but haven't found anything yet. If anyone comes up with a solution, please post it here.
|
has anyone tried just grinding/sanding them down and repainting them?
|
I'm in Germany and nothing on my end, looking for the same solution.

these are stock center caps from a 300zx and they seem that they have the same outer dimensions. wonder if they would fit. but still would need painting. |

What are they? |

Or should I say...put them together myself ;) |
They look great. I'm surprised nobody makes these since they could be made for cheap and sold for a good profit.
