radial setup

I'm looking for a set of 17" wheels for a radial setup that will clear the Akebonos. I'm aware the general consensus is that it won't fit, but there are some out there that do, just not sure which.

Doug @ Z1 has a 17" Weld on a 305/45/17, but he bought the wheels used and didn't know the backspacing or offset specs.

I'm of the thinking that most 17"s will fit. We threw these 17" TE37s on the rear for fun and they cleared just fine, so you just need to find the proper wheel width/offset for the tire you want to run and go from there.

Do you have any more pictures? Would like to see just how close it is...but what are the specs on those that you test fitted?

IINM, guys are fitting 15 inch wheels on the back using the 350Z rear rotors and calipers.

I know.... Weld wheels, High hate, 6.5in. backspacing 17x10.5. You will run a Mickey Tompson Steet R radial, 305/45/17
