Yes, Firestone tires did have a issue with their tires, but was many many years ago. Hopefully by now, they have corrected.

At the same time though, did they really correct? Yes, they were hit with lawsuits/fines/etc., but they are a business to make money (i.e. corporate greed). It's human nature to be really cautious when something catastrophic like the Firestone incident took place, despite how long ago.

Me personally, no, I will not purchase Firestone tires. Nor will I ever buy a Ford.

Didn't Yokohama have a recall last year due to failures, If my memory serves me... Point is, All manufacturers have occasional hiccups. I don't think I'd bash the whole line, or choose not to purchase over it.
I would, however do my research as always before commiting.

I agree; no one and nothing is perfect, but the severity of such imperfections/flaws is what I look at. Wasn’t bashing Firestone or Ford; I just prefer not to purchase their products as a personal preference.

Yeah,
No more dealer alignment, Taking it to my buddy race shop. He does only race car suspensions.

OptionZero 12-15-2019 08:37 PM

the dealer should give you a damn refund and new tires if they truly fk'd up your alignment

Did the dealer give you a sheet showing your alignment settings? Post it up...

Looks like your toe needs some adjustment, camber shouldn't do that. Also I ran those tires on another car and they were pretty solid.

For anyone concerned about them being Firestone's yall need to chill out because they're actually just rebranded Bridgestones RE760's or S04's or something

Saw that above. Curious as to your wheel width in the rear.

11 and the 325 fit better than 305, depending of the tire brand

Congrats on the new tires.

I do not get how people can call themselves enthusiasts - Oh I change the oil every 3k miles and I got that flame map and be gapping people at GappleBees all damn day! - and they never maintain one of the MAJOR COMPONENTS of the car --> The damn tires!

Dude, you're in rainy *** South Florida, driving around in a 300hp, RWD sports car - WITH NO TRACTION!

Stay safe out there and don't let this new set get like the last one.

loiro370z 12-17-2019 10:33 AM

:o
don't remind me, about bad tires and rain :tiphat:
