Awful news, some people.. I have a practically new set, unmarked for sale but based in the UK so I guess shipping would rule it out for you.

Locking lug nuts sound like a priority item, as well.

Any lug nut lock is just a deterrent and will just take a bit longer for them to get the wheels.

According to his post, OP came back from Europe. Maybe he can take another trip there and pick up? Just a thought :tiphat:

OP, if you haven’t already done so, IMO, I would file a police report and submit that along with the Nissan quote to your insurance co. just to cover your bases.

Exact same thing happened to my sisters civic SI in the Bronx. Milk crates were wedged under the sides... front end was sitting on the rotors. Cops were zero help, they told her “get a crappier car if you don’t want your wheels stolen” :ugh2: I had to drive down to her apartment, install temp wheels while the claim process happened.

I am in upstate NY.. I have a set of sport rays for sale if that helps

It’s not that cops won’t be of help, it’s that they can’t. They have very limited information to go on, if any, and, unfortunately, stolen rims probably isn’t a priority to law enforcement. At the very least, they can document and give a police report.

Volk Z just started a thread about selling his entire nismo interior. Perhaps you can ask if he is willing to sell his rims? Probably not, but hey you never know until you ask.

As the saying goes, you dont have to outrun the bear; you just have to outrun your friend. Wheel locks will cause most thieves to move onto another car.

Back in the high-crime 80's NYC, people used to pull their entire stereo out of their car whenever they parked it, and leave a sign in the car saying "already stolen, please don't break window."

Next time the OP leaves for Europe maybe he should put the Z up on stands in the street and store his wheels in his apt. Or buy a set of chitty wheels w/o tires and put those on.

That sucks. At least they left your calipers.
