Enkei RPF1 and Tires Fitment???
 

Does any size 18 inch Enkei RPF1s work on a 370Z with the Akebono Sport brake package and Z1 rotors on all 4 corners? And if so what would be the fastest and lightest sizes with the best tire sizes, tire wall, tire size, width, offset, etc. Also I’m curious to know what 18s others are running too.

A 18x10.5 square setup seems to be popular for track use. Just needs a spacer on the rear wheels.

Maybe try searching also. This question has been answered many times on the forum already.

I know for a fact that if you are looking at 9.5 width, the only offset that clears Akebono calipers in the front is +15. The narrower 8.5 +30 will clear also.

As a practical matter, you're asking about the "lightest and fastest" size of a wheel. Well, the lightest size of the wheel is gonna be a shortest, thinnest one, its common sense; more to the point, unless you are tracking in a pure race scenario, you aren't gonna feel the difference in WEIGHT between a 9.5 or 10.5 inch wheel

The track folks run 18x10.5 +18 all around
They do it so they can run 285 width tires (or something close to that) at all 4 corners, in a square setup. The Z needs front tire to fight understeer, probably doesn't hurt to have braking grip too

To fit that size in front they run negative camber, which is also a positive for handling
Adjusting camber requires adjustable front upper control arms, such as SPL parts or Voodoo13. Probably should roll the fenders anyways, as its pretty easy and opens up plenty of space

and i suppose i should say it again:
18's are super small on the Z. They are what everyone runs at the track because it's lighter and opens up a wide variety of tire selection for better prices than 19/20s
for aesthetics, the Z really needs 19s or 20s
If you are just bombing around town going to the grocery store or school, i don't really see the point

How wide can we go before 'tramlining' becomes an issue? I want to improve my car's grip but I enjoy long road trips and don't want to make those more tiring.

Did some research on the matter and found that 285/35/18 Mounted on the Enkei RPF1 18X10.5+15 apparently seems to be the “best” wheel and tire setup for this car... the only question I have is - is it possible to go smaller on the tire width (265 maybe) and not need any spacers or camber arms. I’m trying to stay as OEM as possible and I’m just trying to get RPF1 18s on my Z as this is one of my favorite wheels. I’m also looking to daily this setup too with the occasional track use.

if you have lowered your car there may be some negative camber that has been created

but the correct way to do it is with proper suspension components

If you want to run that wheel without any mods, you'll probably need a 9.5 but the available offsets are +15, +38 or +45. +38 and 45 are way too sunken, but +15 might stick out too much

I’m full stock suspension all around, if I wanted to run this wheel would you recommend an all square setup or a staggered setup and if so what sizes would fit for both. Also, I’m pretty sure no one has done this before because I couldn’t find a single image of it.

The rears dont matter because the rear of the Z can fit anything; certainly any size that the RPF1 comes in (18x10.5 +15 is the most aggressive size and its nothing on the Z)

The front is the issue. A 18x9.5 +38 will fit under the fender easily BUT will not clear Akebonos without a spacer. The next size is 18x9.5 +15 but it's gonna stick out at stock everything

Thats why the RPF1 isn't the perfect wheel for the Z for someone who won't do any work

Get some Nismo wheels that at least come from Nissan so they theoretically match a stock body

or man up and put the work in to fit real wheels

Currently running RPF1 18x10.5 +15 all around and I DO NOT ADVISE IT haha. I had to relocate a bumper tab and do some massive fender rolling to make it work. But it turns really well now at speed!! Last track day was awesome.

If I had to do it again I would of gone with a lower offset and a larger spacer in the rear, currently a 10mm.

Before this I had an staggered set of RPF1s with 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5 +15 with a 10mm spacer.
