Slight vibration at higher speeds

I have the 370z 7-speed auto 2011 and I noticed that when I am cruising at higher speeds and maintaining the pedal I get an intermittent vibration that lasts about 3 seconds and then goes away for 3 seconds and then repeats....could this be a out of balanced tire or even drive axle ? Maybe steering ball joint ?

Also, when I am in a parking lot doing a sharp turn from a rolling stop, it feels like the front tires are sliding on patches of ice - I thought this was weird. Even when there is no puddles or ice on surface. Is this a 370z thing. This is my first Nissan.

Any help would be great !
Thanks !

It’s cold outside; check condition of your tires & weather or not they’re max summer or all season...you could have one that’s separating on you,,,or cracking between the tread.

The front feeling like it's sliding is normal if it's what I think you mean. Google full lock tire scrub or shuddering and you'll probably find a lot of posts about it, even the Porsche dudes. Common with cars that are more sports car than commuter car. Geometry isn't made to worry about shopping, it's made to worry about making turns at 80mph, so at full lock it can happen, esp with cold tires.

As per jchammond's comment above, check the condition of your tires. If it's been a while since you had the tires balanced, get that checked and have them check for out-of-round condition.
The vibration could be coming from somewhere else, but tires are the most common cause.

A common complaint for any car with wide tires. It's called "tire scrub." Look up "tramlining" while you're at it.

:iagree: I deal with both of these issues every day.

I guess some weights were gone off of a tire. They checked all steering components including connecting rods and drive axle and all is well. Probably a pothole took them off because I think they are the stick on variety. We have some major potholes and luckily those tires are wide !!!
