Aston Martin Rims are a go!!!!

I know some of you read my previous thread where I was asking for some photoshop help so I could gauge what 2009 DB9 Sport Package wheels would look like on a 370z.
I got some great help and loved the way it looked, you can see the pics here. http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...shop-help.html My girlfriends Aston came in today, so we went to check it out and she has decided to indeed get DBS rims and let me have the DB9 Sport Package rims. Awesome! The guys at Aston said no problem, when we pick the car up in spring they will mount them on my car, which shouldn't be a problem since the bolt pattern matches. I would love to do it now but since there is snow everywhere the dealership is storing the vehicle for free until spring and I can cruise on my Blizzaks until things clear up. This is the best I can do for pics for now until they wheels are on the 370z. The second last wheel is the DB9 Sport Pack Wheel, it is what I will be getting on the 370z. The last wheel is the DBS wheel which is going on the Aston. I can't wait until spring, i'll get some pics of the wheels on the car. |
So which wheels will you get? There are two in the attachments.

Perhaps I should remove the last pick? I just wanted to show what the final wheel(DBS Wheel) on the Aston will look like. |
is that her in the avatar?
|
No problem, I did not read, look good.

if she's not a bitch then hold on to that one lol

The ones you are getting are very similar to some BMW 3 series wheels I have seen.

And naw, I have absolutely no patience for bitches. When I was younger I used to bartend in a high end nightclub and it became very routine dealing with conceited women who were total bitches. It made me lose any and all tolerance for them. Mine's a keeper. |

What size & offset will they end up being?
They do look good, you can always keep the stock rays and throw on some track tires. |
Those wheels look great, I hope everything fits right with the spacers, etc.

but back on topic, congrats on the wheel situation working out. Can't wait to see em mounted

Yes pic's please.
 |
While you're at it, you should just pick up an Aston Martin upgrade to go around the wheels

Man that Aston is sex, right up there with the F430.

^That pic is amazing. Rear fenders and rear quarter windows look like the Z. Or maybe it's the Z that looks like the Aston, hehe.
+1, can't wait to see the rims on the Z. |
aston's lack the sheer passion of the top end italians but good lord they sound and look FAN-tastic. i rode in a db9 for a while earlier this year, what a glorious sound that car makes. aston's set the benchmark for automotive art imo, at least until the 458 italia comes out...
edit: forgot to post to the OP lol, i think those wheels will look pretty good on your Z, hopefully you'll be able to switch the center caps so they say "nissan" instead of "AM"? |
I love Astons, the cars a pure hotness, You could give me a Lambo, or a Veyron and I'd drive it to an Aston Martin dealer and trade it in. I don't totally care for the look of the rims on the Z, but I think you should go for it and do it, without a doubt you'll be the only one with a set up like that.

Thanks guys. If I could get an Aston I'd try to get my hands on a Vanquish.
I love the DB9, not a huge fan of the DBS, or Vantage, but I felt the Vanquish was the most aggresive looking Aston to date, I wish it was still in production. |

I'm quite interested to see how the rims look on the 370z, so anything that would prevent that would be a damn shame. Call me crazy but I'd even consider mounting them and powdercoating them black.. |

yea i bet the hubs aren't the same, hopefully the Z's are smaller which would mean you would just need some hubcentric adapters to make it work. i would try to locate a high end wheel shop (maybe one that sells HRE's for example), they may know what you are looking at doing and if it will work

I'd settle for a Vantage V12 Carbon Black. That there is a car. |
yessir, too bad they aren't planning to sell the Vantage V12 in america :( i loved that segment on the end of the last series of top gear about it

It would be like owning a classic car to me. All about looks and nostalgia as opposed to performance. |
Did you ever put the Aston wheels on the Z?
|
Aston Martin DB9 19" wheels will work on the 370Z with spacers, hubrings and new lugnuts.
The stock and sport pack DB9 wheels are: 19x8.5 et50 5-114.3 front 19x9.5 et62 5-114.3 rear 235/40/19 bridgestone tire front 275/35/19 bridgestone tire rear wheel center bore is 70.5mm lug bolt/lug nut 60 deg cone style for proper fit you will need: 1. qty 20 cone style lug nuts (any style you prefer) 2. front wheel spacer pair 25mm (adpater style or slip on style will both work) 3. rear wheel spacer pair 50mm (adapter style only) 4. qty 4 custom hubring 70.5mm outside diameter to 66.1mm inside diameter The tire sizing is nearly identical, with only the front tire being slightly thinner and shorter than your stock tire but you can use them no problem. I'm not a big fan of the stock Bridgestone tires but you can use them up and upgrade to a better tire in the exact sizing later if you want. The DB9 sport pack wheel is forged and 1kg per/wheel lighter than the regular DB9 wheels. Feel free to PM me or post here if you have any other questions. Looking forward to seeing pictures! |
