SSR 3 Piece Wheels

Hey All,

I have a set of SSR SP3's that I would like to powder coat the faces of. I've been searching around the internet and haven't found any examples of people disassembling these wheels and what the process would entail, so I was wondering if any of you have seen it done.

From what I understand the face of these wheels can simply be unbolted and removed, no messing with silicone or valve stems or any of that. Has anyone disassembled these wheels before that can confirm or correct me here?

Bringing the disassembled wheels to the shop I plan to use would save me about $150 in labor so I would prefer to take the faces off myself if I can, but if it turns out that the process isn't as simple as I hope it is then it might just be worth it to have the shop worry about the disassembly/reassembly.

Thanks!

Thanks for replying. These videos show the process for typical 3 piece wheels but I was under the impression that SSR SP3s aren't manufactured in the same way. I was hoping someone who has experience with these specific wheels, or other SSR 3 piece wheels could shed some light.

Looks like the welding of the inner and outer barrels might be the only difference, but I wouldn't,t think that t would affect the removal of the face.
