Anyone know is 17" wheels will fit on a 370Z?

The prices of 18" and 19" track tires are scary.

:ughdance:

I think 17" wheels might not preform as well.

Why is that? With 17'', he can run slicks. :D You hardly see anyone run a course like Willow Spring with anything bigger than 18''.

I think 17'' may fit the model w/o sport package.

For looks, you need at least an 18" or 19" wheels., but a 17" will work... it'll just look funny, IMO.

It might be tough to clear the calipers on the sport package. No one will know until they try.

18's would likely fit, not too sure about the 17s. It will also depend on the offset/design of specific wheels

like Namir said, it all depends on whether you can clear the calipers.... you may have to really limit your options in wheel design to clear them...You are better off going with 18s i think...

I'm considering 17's and 18's.

It's the same with our East Coast tracks, 17"s is the biggest most want.

I guess the secret would be to buy a sports pack to get the LSD and then sell the brakes and swap to someone with a base model.

Base models brakes are not good. I don't know if changing the sports package brakes for regular is a good idea. You can never have too much stopping power and you DO NOT want brake fade during tracking. Even though (as per Mines) the new Nissan brakes aren't that great for extreme track use but for amateurs, they should be fine.

Did you think about super light 18" wheels, if brake fitment is a issue?

As for the base brakes, I would be getting a track specific pad and some better rotors if needed.

It's not the lightness of the 19"s that are my main concern, it's the price of the 18" and 19" track tires that is my issue.

There are 18" ut there that will clear the sport breaks. I have had 2 different sets for my 08, and 09 G37 for my winter set up. I will find the details and post tomorrow. I am unaware of any 17" that will fit over the sport breaks as it has been tried on the G37 and no one has found a set yet. But that don't mean they are not out there.

You need at least 20s for track

Not to be a d1ck, but if you can't afford the 18's maybe don't track the car...other parts/upgrades will be needed if your going to track the car and they all cost money.
