Michelin PSS Dimension's

Has anyone else noticed the advertised diameter of the Pilot Super Sport is shorter than what is in their specs.?
I have recently bought some for Spring/Summer next year & by measuring circumference, divided by pi (3.14") & they come up short.
2 sizes measured:
305/30ZR19-circumference 80.875"/3.14=25.76" diameter
325/30ZR19- " " " " " " 82.125"/3.14=26.15" diameter
These are not mounted-but no way can grow to 26.3" & 26.7",
Just seeing who else has noticed or has dimensions on other PSS's.
Also section/overall width is 12.75" on 305's & 13.5" on 325's.

It's not the size that matters, it's how you use them.

Yep-just seeing if anyone else experienced it with these tire’s,,, wasn’t exactly wanting to drop back to 26’s w/stock suspension.
I have other brand tires that I’ve measured & they’re on spot to what’s listed as specs....these are shorter & fatter.
Width is fine & was just going to match up some front’s for them....but may end up looking like a new 1LE riding around.

I will be personally mounting these up & taking measurements by mid January/ gonna Test a 305/30 on a 10” & 12”,,,and 325’s just on the 12’s.
I will repost mounted measurements & I’ll take pictures with them on & off the ~Z~
I was curious to see if anyone had mounted or un-mounted PSS’s in 255,265,275/35’s....or even 225,245/40’s on 19’s...that they could get measurements from; as it appears these particular 2 sizes are off on specs.

Don't forget to break out your measuring tool's; if Santa bring's you some Michelin Tires.
I'm thinking the 255 or 265/35 will stand up @same height as 325/30's.....but definitely gonna test fit what i have & not buying any more tires for now-seem'd to have accumulated (8) rear summer tires....lol

Bump...Actual measurements on 265/35's or 275/35's in PSS's would be great!

jchammond 12-31-2017 02:55 AM

Bump; Tires don't have to be brand new-i can calculate with tread remaining.
TY
