TMPS with display? - Tire Pressure

Hello all,

I am seeking a tire pressure measuring system that would display the PSI per-tire.

There must be something out there, but searching for "TPMS" on here is a cluster.

This will be for track use, so OEM TPMS not req'd.

Heh, well yes... i could have done that.

I was more on the look for ones that are reliable / accurate.

But thanks!

The numbers are in the system - somewhere. You should be able to access using an OBD/CAN tool if you can find the PIDs.

Nah, i need something with a Live-readout.
- OBD is used for other telemetry data while on-track.

Good suggestion tho

Torque or similar should be able to do it, giving you real-time (live-readout?) data. But you probably don't need to poll constantly, especially if doing other logging/telemetry; every 5 secs or so should be plenty. Getting four more PIDs shouldn't overload the CAN bus.

May be able to do visual/audible alarms, too.

This might work if you mount your phone securely. I'd only worry about the weight of the tire sensor spinning at 130mph and flying off with your valve stem.

Well I ordered it, will try it out this weekend if it gets here on the track and report back. Will return it if I don't like it, thanks amazon.

I don't think are PMS sensors are that smart, just give a yes or no output (in pressure range or out). But I could be wrong.

I've looked around myself;
As would be good to have a gauge reading constant tp....seems one would be available, that reads the current tpms frequency sensor's in wheels.

Random comment since I just had to get 2 sensors replaced in my Fit...

The tire shop reset the sensors and was even able to tell me the temperature for each wheel via the sensor. Would be nice if this was available for us to know via the dash in all cars!

Yeah some manufacturers monitor a lot more, ours as far as I have seen is pretty basic.

My Z33 doesn’t even have them :(

Suggestions welcome.

This is the only one that I have seen with the potential ability to Data Log because it has an RS232 output. How best to capture that data I don't know.
RaceGrade TPMS, Tire Pressure Monitoring System

AIM has something, I feel it should be able to interface with their data logging products but it doesn't say.
