ARP wheel studs and lug nuts

It has been sometime since I hit a curb, I was lazy to fix but the track season is very close and want to make some late work :shakes head:

I will be going back to OEM rays until I receive my replacement wheels, but for the time being I want to change my wheel hubs as a precaution although my mechanic told me they look in good shape. At the same time, I want to add a small spacer on the back (10mm) and would like to change all studs to ARP.

After doing some research, ARP is longer than stock by 25mm, they will not fit OEM lug nuts, even for my volks they will need an open ended lug nuts or extended, the back with the spacer also will not fit.

If there is an open ended oem style lug nuts I would change everything at once to save on installation cost. Otherwise, I may use stock studs until I receive my wheels and then change them to arp + different lugnuts.

So, I need help in lug nuts, if there is any available oem style open ended lug nuts, as I didn't find any.

Also, for aftermarket wheels lugnuts, I used rays duralum lugnuts so far with no issues, I think they are standard length model, I will need to get extended or open ended, so is rays L42 (longer one) is considered extended?

Some folks just drill out or cut the cap of the oem lug nuts so they become open ended. If you get H&R spacers they make a set of extended lug nut to go with their spacers and they work with oem lug nuts. They are a quality product and I have been using them for several years.

I could be wrong; but I thought open end nuts were mandatory on a roadcourse/track car??

Yup I read that but wanted to see if a ready solution is available. For spacers, I will get it from Z1 as most of my purchases from them  for the great international shipping.

Here for track days it is not mandatory. Maybe it is for road races.

If you do trackdays. It depends on the track or sponsor of the trackday. Racing is mandatory for most org.

I just cut the tops off of the factory lug nuts when I installed my longer ARP studs.
