Who has 305/45/18s?
 

I've been looking everywhere and I can't find any information cuz no one likes to actually have traction with these cars haha. Has anyone ran a 305/45/18 tire in the rear? I was just wondering if it'll fit without hitting the rear fenders when the car squats on stock sports package suspension. I'm going to run a 18x10.5 + 22 in the rear with MT et street Rs. I don't even care if the person doesn't have the same set up, I'm just looking for one person that has ran a 45 profile.

Unfortunately you're gonna be two inches taller than stock at 28.8 diameter, which is not ideal. 305/35/18 is what you should be looking at. If you're set on a 45 inch sidewall, the most you can use is a 245 tire

I'm aware of what the sizes are and I know that a 305/40 fits. Just want to know if anyone has fit the extra .6 inch in sidewall from a 40 to a 45

Yes boosted. And it's not daily driven, it's just a drag set up I don't need equal diameters front and rear. There is some real hate going on with this thread already lol. All I'm looking for is someone who has ran a 305/45 to give input.

Things are starting to make more sense.

MT has the Street R in a 325/35-18 which is going to be a much better fit.

Keep in kind, at least in MT run short compared to specs. Also, don't go by the spec in their website, the ones in the dealer catalogue are shorter and more accurate to the actual mounted tire size.

I was originally going to go with the SS 325/35-18 but they DC'd in between the time I decided that's what I was going to run and the time it actually came to ordering them so went 345/35-18 drag radials instead, which is 'rated' like 28" but measures 27.25 so is only half inch or so taller than stock spec.

That said I've been considering trying the 305/40-18 SS drag radials instead. It's too bad about the 325 in the SS line it would have been perfect.

Beyond that it depends on your power, gearing and times. A 28" may cost you a bit of 60' but could keep you in 4th instead of edging a 5th gear shift when you really don't want it. All depends on your setup.

For reference: stock suspension, with Nismo flares. I do get some rub if I roll over some uneven surfaces like a cross street at speed. This is probably the closest on the site to what you're asking for.

Also I know people that have been able to get better 60' times with the SS than the R. Not sure why but have speculated that if could be people driving though the waster box instead of around it and backing up, which brings some of the water forward and the new SS has somewhat better water channeling. Again, just speculation and hardly scientific.

Thanks for the information. That's one hell of a tire you have mounted lol. It looks like the 305/45 would be too much of a hassle right now to make fit, maybe sometime in the future I'll go for it. For now I going with the 305/40 street S/S
